Honestly the concept is good. The Asian Mexican fusion is a great idea. However coming from an Asian and Mexican food eater, flavor-wise it could be improved. The ma la sauce felt very lemon-y. The al pastor dumplings felt a bit too sweet and they added cheese to it which is a bit odd. Since normally al pastor tacos don't have cheese. The curry chicken and corn dumpling were not bad!! The so called "roasted sesame noodles" were sweet in flavor and missing the so "roasted sesame" I was expecting.. so was a bit disappointed by the sweetness. I ordered the chili oil bok Choi that was recommended but was also a bit dissatisfied with it.. it was a little sweet as well as lemon-y which was disappointing as I was expecting the usual asian chilli oil flavor. I'm not sure why, they seem to add sweetness and sourness to most their sauces and food. These two flavors kind of over take the flavor of the dish itself. Again. Concept and idea is great. But execution needs more work. Waiters were friendly, restaurant was clean. Plenty of parking in the plaza.
A good place to get some inexpensive XLB and other dumplings. The store is clean, and you can watch the dumplings being made by hand, in a sterile and hygienic kitchen. The food is tasty with many options for customization. The quality is decent, and very respectable considering how low the prices are. Try out the creative offerings, like the cheeseburger bao!
A small restaurant with delicious XLB! They have a lot of interesting items in the menu besides the XLB but I found the XLB here to be the best. The portion is small, I’d recommend to try a variety of different things and share with others. Also I found the cheese burger Bao to be so creative! Tastes exactly like a cheeseburger ?.
Tried XLB for the first time. Ordered the pork soup dumplings (daughter loved them), chicken and rice and Shu Mai. I like that my chicken and rice included crunchy bean sprouts. All were yummy, the host was friendly and reasonably priced for today. The place is small and no frills, to go is an option
1st time here but it was EXCELLENT!!! I didn't grab his name but the gentleman at register was so friendly and funny. I will definitely be coming back, the food was FANTASTIC.
Food is great! Service is bad.I use to come here all the time and the workers use to be really friendly, but now they don’t greet you and just stare at you while you are waiting at the register and they are just talking to each other. I would understand if it was a busy day however there was only one other group there. Reyna needs to be more customer service friendly. Also if someone is standing at the register and you see them at least tell them to hold on for a second don’t just stare and walk away, every worker did the same thing.
It's a small place, there are a few tables. Everything is tasty and a few "fusion" style Dumplings. I think the best is just the regular soup Dumplings. The noodles are decent. There is a Dumpling room where dumplings are constantly being made.
Meh...all the food was served on the cold side. Soup dumplings could have been a bit soupier. Flavors were good. But I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe if you catch them on a good day. Our experience was just shy of take it back and ask for a refund.
I was craving dumplings and found this place tonight. I was was torn between the dan dan and sesame noodles but was recommended to try the sesame one. I wasn't disappointed! I really enjoyed the vegetarian dumplings and creamy sesame noodles.
Interesting dumplings but I'm more of a fan of traditional dumplings. I don't think cheeseburger dumplings are a good idea. The sesame noodles are sooo delicious
