I used to come here a lot when I attended school. Still good as I remember! Great popcorn chicken and boba milk tea!
this place loves ha trading service dog owners and don’t know their legal rights. Hope they get sued one day for it :)
Food was okay but the customer service was not so great. Menu is not updated as well. The employee at the cash register was also not very polite. Definitely not going back. Do not recommend this place at all.
It was pretty okay, the prices are pretty good. I've gone there twice so far to buy boba and takoyaki. Boba is pretty good and I got loads of boba in my drink a couple times which i didnt mind at all. Takoyaki is delicious! I plan to come back soon. I only rate it 4 stars because I haven't tried to much yet.
Ordered to-go MJ Steak and House Sandwich. I specifically said steak to be medium and the staff I talked to asked me which kind of sauce I wanted and I chose pepper sauce.When I got home, I found there was no sauce for the steak. You must understand that sauce is the most complicated part of this dish. Without sauce the steak would be basically flavorless. Besides, it was well done instead of medium.The sandwich also needed a lot more mayo, it was dry. But this could be subjective.The next morning I called the place and asked for a refund on the steak. As for no sauce was not acceptable, I would not ever order if there was no sauce. I was told they would give me discount when I order next time.Well, I don’t know when will I regain confidence to MJ cafe, I didn’t want a discount next time. So I asked to talk directly to manager as I didn’t want to trouble the staff.I was told the manager wouldn’t come and would be at home all time because of the pandemic... so I asked to forward my number and request to the manager. Two work days passed and manager didn’t contact me.So I guess the manager or managers don’t care about the business too much.
This place is a hometown favorite that has been a part of some great memories. I love that you can easily order drinks to go or sit down for a meal. I have tried most of their milk teas and they are all flavorful and perfectly sweet. The staff is friendly and accommodating to whatever requests you have. Their Brick Toast and Popcorn Chicken are some of my personal favorites. I continue coming here because not only is the food great but the staff are so well trained.
The strawberry green tea is pretty good. I'll definitely come back to order it again because it uses real strawberry chunks. Just make sure to ask for less sugar or it'll be too sweet. The strawberry milk and dalgona coffee were ok. The sesame oil chicken soup was pretty good. The soup itself wasn't very flavorful but the chicken was.
I am a student at Cal Poly Pomona and my friends and I love going there. They have many boba teas, smoothies, and drinks to pick from. My personal favorite is the watermelon juice with boba. We order the fish katsu. It is perfectly crunchy and has curry and vegetables on the side making it a healthy meal. I would recommend checking this place out.
