This is a really good breakfast and brunch place in Walnut Creek. We went on Friday morning and we had to wait for 20 minutes. They only had outdoor dining since they were undergoing renovation inside. We ordered a urbanos bowl, hippie happy bowl, avocado multigrain toast, carnitas and country style potatoes. The bowls were really good and loved the combination of Spanish rice with the fajita tofu and fresh veggies in that. The sauce was also really great. The mint sauce on the side of the hippie happy bowl was herbaceous and well balanced. The multigrain toast in the avocado toast was exceptional. It had a really nice nutty flavor. The portions were really filling. The staff were friendly and polite.
Always really great service. Thank you!!!Order at counter once they assign you a seat.I always get the Dick’s Special (Richard, Ha) with French toast.Parking can be hard to find when they’re busy.Tip: there’s parking spots in the back but you’ll need to enter through S California (Yoga Flow SF) or go the wrong way in the parking lot.
The breakfast we ordered was very delicious. [Chelsea's Omelette (egg whites, zucchini, broccoli, spinach, jack cheese, and avocado, with side of kale & broccolini), lemon ricotta pancakes (lemon ricotta pancakes served with mascarpone whipped cream and blueberry compote),and cinnamon swirl french toast (cinnamon swirled chalian bread dipped in spiced egg batter)]The service was okay. They were busy on a Tuesday morning, so small details were overlooked. Cant wait to return and taste the other things on their menu.
We went here last Tuesday morning, our first time. Overall, the food and the location was fine. What ruined our experience was when we looked at our bill and saw we were over charged. So, my husband had the two-egg-special which includes choice of potatoes and meat. When my husband was told the meats he could pick, he said chicken apple sausage. The person taking the order at the register (no table service for ordering) didn't bother to mention that the chicken apple sausage incurred an additional charge (although meat was supposed to be included). After paying when we saw the bill, my husband questioned why the meat had a charge, and the same person that took the order responded, "the chicken apple sausage is ALWAYS EXTRA, EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!" No, we didn't know, we had never been there. After talking to 2 or 3 higher up or managers, a charge correction was made. So, basically a well priced at $13.95 two-egg-special which includes potatoes and meat, isn't enough for them as they SNEAK UP meat choices that aren't included but make you believe they are. As this place serves breakfast from opening to closing, I bet this practice is serving them well but not their customers. Why isn't the menu transparent and show the meat choices included? Because they want the customer to ask, so they can offer meat items not included. Well, paying $13.95 for a two egg special is plenty, adding $3 for meat already included is GREED!!
The south of the border was just as tasty and filling as I remembered. Ordered it with a flour tortilla, instead of the corn that it comes with. The lady behind the counter noticed before handing it to be and didnt hesitate to have them make it as ordered.
Outdoor dining ?, brunch ?, our choice was wrong. Sandwich set was looking great on others table
Excellent food, excellent service. One of my favorite breakfast places in town. Great selection of food, lots of healthy and vegetarian options.
Terrific customer service from the first moment we entered. Fresh and tasty breakfast. Pancakes delicious, hash potatoes (different for me) seasoned and cooked well! Decaf coffee so delightful! My last visit was in 1994 or 95.
I love this restaurant. Not only is the food fantastic, the wait staff are amazing as well. One of the best parts about this place is that the food is just as good when ordered for pickup, as it is when dining in.I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a delicious breakfast or lunch, with a side of fantastic service!
I’ve been going to Sunrise Bistro for the past 10 or so years. It’s always top notch. The food is always fresh, tasty and the portions perfect. At present (December 2021) they have outdoor seating and the area is heated.Staff are all very friendly and service is on point. This place is very popular so expect a slight wait for a table but well worth it.
