DISCLAIMER: This review is for FiDi in San Francisco at Kearny location that is not updated on Google maps. This is a great ramen place with flavorful broth and good bounce/chew to their noodles. Chasu had a good charred flavor. We ordered Tonkatsu with extra chasu/tantanmen/gyousa/fried chicken/yakatori (chicken skin, heart, thigh meat). All were delicious. Service was prompt and fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone. They also have a few other locations in the Bay Area (Walnut Creek, Alameda, this one at FiDi SF, I forget the last stop).
A cozy ramen shop. The ramen is good, not too salty, and not too thick either - I like that. Their poached eggs could have more shoyu flavor, but other than that, quite good.Service was very friendly as well.
Seriously solid broths! Chicken based ramen option is great because I don’t eat pork. Awesome lotus root, good noodles.
Such good quality ramen. Nuanced flavors, high quality ingredients. The takoyaki is some of the best I've had. I always have to stop in to Ramen Hiroshi when I am in town.
Beware this restaurant. They are deliberately overcharging for service charging both a 20% service fee and giving guidance for 20% tip additionally. When asked if the service fee is the tip, they’re claiming this is independent of tip. They are deliberately misleading the many young teens that frequent the restaurant. In general, the food is decent although very overpriced even before they attempt to overcharge further.
Good stuff ramen wise. Very tasty and delicious.Would recommend Hiroshi Tankotsu Ramen $15 if you like rich chicken broth flavor. Personally chose Miso Ramen and was very pleased with it , except for the salt level.Service wise would suggest adding some resources during weekends. We had to wait for over 30 mins to get our food served.Overall, good spot and will be back for more.
It’s too bad negative stars aren’t possible. This restaurant having a 4 star rating is proof that reviews can be purchased…Paid almost $50 not including delivery fee for two orders of Tonkatsu Ramen with extra lotus root and extra noodles. The broth they sent wouldn’t be enough to rehydrate the dry, hockey-puck like clump of noodles alone, let alone actually qualify as a ramen dish. The broth is disgusting, extremely salty and has the flavor of a 50c cup of instant noodles. The lotus root is a joke, I’ve seen thicker slices of deli meat at Safeway, and it has the consistency of a wet piece of paper…They must be too busy to care, because no business with any self-respect or modicum of quality standards would let this be served to a customer. I would be embarrassed giving something like this to my dog, let alone a paying customer.Save yourself the money, you’ll get a better meal at a holiday food pantry.
We arrived just after they opened and waited about 10 minutes for the last indoor table. We ordered soon after being seated and received the appetizer in only a few minutes, but the 2 orders of ramen were taking an extremely long time. After almost an hour of waiting, we asked for the status of our order only for them to tell us they hadn't started our order and that they would do ours next even though others before us hadn't gotten their food. There were also a number of people waiting outside for their mobile orders. We just decided to pay for our karage and left to get poke around the the corner.
Things to note: I'm not from around here. Where I come from ramen comes in a four pack for $0.99 and is only for college kids who can't afford rent. Exquisite ramen is when you add an egg to that 25 cents. If you struck it big in the scratch-offs, you throw in some diced frozen mixed vegetables. That being said, this Ramen was UH-MAZING! I WILL be going here again. Even if I don't know what I'm ordering. (Else I'd make suggestions. Sorry. I will say the hush-puppy-looking octopus balls were killer!) But since I'm not cultured, maybe this is just "eh" or "so-so" ramen. Either way it's worth 5 stars to me.
Great place to have to launch
