Tasty burgers and onion rings and a staff that is genuinely happy to see patrons walk through their door. Highly recommend!
They use quality meat for their patties, and they're cooked to order. The lettuce and tomatoes taste fresh. This is the best local burger joint in Walnut Creek that I've tried so far.
Great food and service. Classic old school place. Worth the wait and nice peeps. Next door to some really cool and awesome business too. Definitely note the parking signs & spaces!!
From all the burger places you are to visit this place is a must to feel the authenticity and they taste of a real American burger.Fresh meat that is grinder daily from the fresh cut meats and made into a patty, grilled juicy and tender. Freshly cut tomatoes and greens make the burger look up and ready to be consumed. Surprisingly even the bacon added to JJ’s burger was not greasy and completed the taste. The bun was fluffy and dry.Inside interior might need a bit of a touchup, however it sure feels the place with the authenticity of an old days.Place is ran by its owner, who was on site and actively cooking and serving the clients. Thank you John for keeping the pace off Georgia’s Giant Hamburgers the way it is.All in all we’ve found our self a place in Walnut Creek to satisfy our burger crave.
Bun and fixings were low quality in my opinion, but the sweet potato fries were perfect. For $15 i think they can spring for good quality buns, lettuce, and tomato. And some sort of sauce.
I first tried this place back on 1990s they had like a salad bar to put your own tomatoes and onions ,lettuce, ect.They are still very good,and worth a try but you might get hooked.
I ordered a hot link and it was great. It wasn't so spicy that I couldn't enjoy it. This place is one of the cheaper and faster lunch options in this area and I will definitely be going back to try the burgers and pastrami sandwich. In a lot of the nearby restaurants, I typically need to allocate an hour and half, but I can definitely do an hour or less here no problem.
Wow me and my friend walked in right when they opened 11am an ordered there special three paddy hamburger with everything plus extra pickles and side of fries.... of course a large soda! These choices are priced high with single order at $17 dollars...That was our choice because George's is a icon in down town Walnut Creek...Now there are choices that are for the family on a budget and don't go overboard like me and my friend did...The three decker is more than a mouth full mine cooked medium was full of juice I held it up an it just flowed..... u would think I turned on a faucet the onion the cheese the pickles each bite had crisp hit in your mouth with flavor also and don't forget the fries r snappy no limp fries here with choice of catchup or mustard sorry folks I always go mustard with dash of tabasco sauce.....Now if you're in the area just a walk across from Walnut Creek Kaiser Permanente treat yourself or your family to a sit down hamburger joint that has old joint feel!See ya soon.....Have a Great day!Happy trails folks..
Ingredients quality is average, overall on par with in-n-out, well below high end burger joints. Bun is soggy, lettuce is sad, tomato quality is meh.
Convenient place to go to. The hamburgers are amazing!! The meat is a very good quality. Best burger place I’ve been to!!
