I was SO excited to go to this bar but the bouncer/security guard, James, was incredibly rude to me and my friend. I would stay clear of this bar is you’re looking for some late night fun.
The staff here are always so nice and courteous to me and my husband. It's one of our favorite bars to visit. The bartender, Derrick always remembers our drink choice ( Bombay and pineapple) no matter how long we've been gone. The people are nice the pool tables are fun and the live bands are always a vibe. When we want the fire pits litt the staff always comes to our aide to accommodate us. The security in the front (big tall man) I forgot his name sorry ? is always so helpful and respectful to us. It's always a great time at Dan's!
Low-key and laid back it is a nice old school style spot in Walnut Creek with pool tables and vending machines. Really a throwback. The bartenders are fun and the clientele is all over the place.
It's a pub, basic in all the right ways, the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Neighborly and hard to find. It's incredibly genuine. My speed, my bar. See you soon.
Only been twice so far. Totally different experiences with drink quality(different bar tenders too). Each visit the same drink was ordered multiple times that night. Visit 1 taste varied and strength of drink varied. Visit 2 drinks were very similar of not exactly the same each time and tasted good. Place definitely gives off the dive bar feel. Had a good time both times but the people I had with me was a major factor.
Local bar with live music on the weekends. Slightly dated and dirty interior, but not bad overall. Good atmosphere.

Highly inconsistent experiences. Have had many good nights here but the most recent experience left a bad taste. We arrived about 15 minutes before a live band was done playing for the evening, and were still charged the full cover charge. Then, it was a game of raising our hands like we were back in school to try and get drinks, then again for refills. We gave up after 2 drinks and had a far better experience at another bar right up the street. Also, they have twice as many security (or more) as they do bartenders/waitstaff. In Walnut Creek. Absurd.
