Came here for Cinco De Mayo and the visit was crazy to say the least, I got the unlimited Margueritas and the chips and salsa and guacamole, the margs were good and the chips and salsa was alright but the guacamole came with a fancy chip that was super stale and kinda nasty, ghe guacamole itself was good though but not the fancy circle chip it comes with.Overall it was super packed and took forever to get our orders, also there is only one bathroom that is shared and the line to use it was super long and many people walked elsewhere to go relieve themselves..... (there's an alley outside to the right a bunch of people were using the wall to go haha)It was a fun and lively atmosphere and the staff was all friendly. Make sure to get a reservation if your going for a holiday though ?
Reserved a table for 9 to celebrate my daughter and her boyfriend receding their white coats.it was a very special evening for both families. The service as well as the food was above average. The server (I believe his name was Carlos) went way above and beyond to make this a special night for them. He was attentive, and all of the employees seemed to pitch in and assist. It was an extremely busy night in Walnut Creek due to a play that evening. The food was delicious. We had a couple of vegetarians, a child, and other adults. Everyone was satisfied. The chips and salsa were great and bottomless. The appetizer fundito was delicious. Fajitas, tacos, tamales, and kids burrito - all wonderful. The drinks were great as welll.I would highly recommend this restaurant in this quaint little town. Muy bueno!
The food was good about the wait and service was terrible. One hour to get a table, and took more than one hour to prepare 3 tacos. I think they forgot to put our order and when I complained after 45 mins they put the order in.May be their service is be better for lunch or less crowded hours. They don't answer the phone to take reservations, you may be able to reserve online for the next day.
This was our first time eating here. We chose to eat outside even with the rains. But the heaters kept us warm. We had reservations so we were seated pretty quickly. I had the seafood tacos. The shell was a bit oily but the taco was quite tasty. The chips and salsa were also good. Service was friendly. Paid parking nearby. Staff wore masks.
Low rating for service. Was busy on Saturday at 6pm, four servers working the outdoor seating area. Ordered ceviche, tacos, and birria stew. No ceviche after 20min waiting. Ordered guac thinking that would come out faster. Nope. Took 30min for ceviche and it only had a few small bits of shrimp (not fish?) - rest are all veggies and basically pico de gallo. 10min later we get guac. Took another 25min for birria and tacos, nearly an hour after we were seated.Had to ask 2 times for the guac order, 3 times for water refill, and 3 times for salsa verde. Could hear the kitchen aggressively ringing the bell for the three servers who were standing around out front.Busy or not, it should not take repeated requests for basics like water, guac, and salsa when servers are standing around. Food was good, save for the "ceviche".
Had an 11:30 reservation for 9 people on a Sunday morning to celebrate my 21 birthday. It was mistaken as a 11:30 reservations for 30 people!!??! I have no clue how this mistake could even happen. Had my reservation specifically at 11:30 to order from there brunch menu and when we ask for the menu they said “we aren’t serving breakfast.” However the tables around us had breakfast/brunch platers?? After our meal we asked a different waitress why they didn’t serve breakfast today and she was confused. She told us they were and wasn’t sure why they told us that. Either they were annoyed with us from the reservation mistake or they didn’t want our big party to have cheaper brunch meals. This was a horrible way to spend my birthday. Don't go here.
This restaurant is terrible. They messed up my order and a kind server hit my dog. We sat outside and the waiter was blindly walking and hit my dog… then I heard the worker from the front desk was saying “it’s ok the dog wasn’t even supposed to be there” in Spanish. The worker that accidentally hit my dog was a very kind man, that deserves a pay raise. He applogized very kindly. But the lady that was talking bad, said that my dog shouldn’t be there in the first place when we were half way done with our meal…TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM THIS LADY THAT THINKS SHE HAS AUTHORITY!?. To be honest, the lady from the front desk ruined it. The words she said made us want to cuss her out and leave. Even tho the waiter hit my dog accidentally, he is a nice waiter. I definitely recommend not eating here.
Great food, great vibes, great drinks. This is authentic Mexican food! The flavor is there in all their dishes. If you during peak hours expect to wait anywhere from 30-60 minutes for your food.Start your meal off with nachos and a raspberry margarita. Then make your way to the steak tacos or sopes! The quesadilla was big so you could definitely share. The portions vary. I will say their sopes are smaller than average. The tacos come with a good amount of meat. The molcajete was disappointing. I wanted the meat and shrimp to have more flavor but it didn’t. The guacamole isn’t that good either. On Sunday afternoon they had a live dj which played great music (English and Spanish). We noticed that they have two different menus, one left out several dishes so if you don’t see the protein bowls then you have the shorter menu. Our table got both so I don’t think it changes depending on the time.
Came here for brunch and it was delicious. We were seated right away but the food took about 45 minutes to come out. The portions are huge! We got the breakfast burrito, which was massive, eggs Benedict - very good! Chilaquiles - yummy! And quesadilla - lots of cheese. Overall we enjoyed our brunch, would come back again. Hopefully the food will come out faster next time.
They have a great outdoor seating area, under an open tent, so you are out of the sun but the sides are open and there is a lot of fresh air. The food was good, could have used more spice and sauce. Friendly service, laid back. Nice place for lunch on a sunny day.
