I agree- quality has gone down for sure. I ordered meat medium-rare and received meat that was well-done, as you can see. The Yik yak salad was once full of different veggies and cabbage and now 3/4 of it is iceberg lettuce. The sauce also was not as spicy or flavorful, it’s been watered down or changed. This is the second time I ordered take-out/pick up and the meat was overcooked. Really unhappy with these last, probably final experiences here. The first and best time I had a yikyak salad from Buckhorn was in SF, and that was for sit down dining..maybe ordering take-out is code for ‘give them the leftover meat and veggies”, while the the best is reserved for sit down diners who are paying tips for service. Either way, it’s disappointing. I wish management would take this into consideration and make changes.

Quality has gone down over the years. The tri tip isn't as tasty. The flavor of the meat is usually overpowered by the condiments rather than being complimentary. Service is good tho and food comes out pretty quickly and is cooked well.

My girlfriend and I just finished a Pilates workout and felt like a salad. So we went and had their Cabo chop salad with grilled chicken. Service was fast and the salad was amazing. Everything was fresh and the combination of ingredients was perfect (minus the radishes as I don’t like them.) would definitely go back again. I recommend to all this salad and it was a huge portion.

The food service has gone down since covid. The meat was not cooked to proper temperature and the tables were not cleared from previous patrons. This used to be my favorite location, but I will make the extra trek to Pleasanton

Great tri tip sandwich and Caesar pleaser.

Great tri tip sandwich as always!

I picked up two big buck 6 oz tri-tip sandwiches very good sandwiches and I had a deschutes ipa while I waited for my sandwich.I've been going to buckhorn grill for quite some time. I been at embarcadero in SF and Metreon in sf

The manager was at the register and seen me waiting for my call in order but didn't greet me till 5mins. When she hand me my order I asked for some extra sauce and i didn't see her make an effort to grab it so after 2 mins i walked to another staff and asked her for it then manager tried to help. I was on an important call and was just trying to grab and go that's why i called it in. Food was excellent as always.

We normally go to the Buckhorn Grill in Vacaville, but the one in Walnut Creek is closer so we decided to go there today. We really liked the fact that masks are required in Contra Costa County, and they are not in Solano County, so this was aldo a factor. When we wslked in, we did notice the masks required sign right on the entry door. However, when we walked in the next thing we saw, was a woman with several kids (two in their teens so old enough to know better), standing at the counter with no masks on. I kept expecting the employees to say something to them, but they did not. When we got up to order, I quietly said something to one of the employees about it. He looked at them, and pretty much shrugged it off. We noticed a few others walking through the restaurant with no mask as well. Very disappointing. The food was exceptional as was the service, but only 4 stars due to not keeping those of us safe that are really trying to be.

My happy place!!!!! Krispy Chicken Avocado Salad ? to die for!!!!don’t forget the roadhouses onion strings ?
