Staff was amazing!!! Some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. Another jewel in the crown of my first trip to Cali
This was a spontaneous dinner stop that turned out to be a great spot. Walking in, the ambience is welcoming. I'm pretty sure we came in close to closing. We were the only people dining at the time. There was a gentleman on the patio having a cigar that really added to the "Uncle Tony" vibe. We didn't introduce ourselves but he welcomed us.The food was tasty. We ordered the cioppino and lobster tail pasta. I'm not sure of the reason, but my lobster tail was a little tough...It was good, though. Food portions were a good size. We didn't take leftovers because we mauled everything. The Roy Rogers drink was not impressive. The cola tasted like an imitation brand.
I randomly discovered this place looking for Italian restaurants in Escondido and tried it out in a whim. Best decision ever!! Food was great and worth every penny. Also, the vibes at this place are immaculate. Perfect service, the owner treats you as of you were his best friend that he hasn't seen in years, and the waitress was super nice and polite as well. Definitely coming back!!
Honestly if I was just rating the food I would give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately after there service I received I will never come back here. The waitress was insanely rude when she was around or impossible to find. I felt until she realized I was there to treat myself and spend money she was rude and even then she left me with no utensils and I had to flag down other staff members for that and to get my check... not only that she admitted to being terrible by saying "I'm off tonight I'm off"... the service ruined a night I wanted to that myself soon all I wanted was to leave... not only did she admit to being bad her or the other staff I interacted with offered any reconciliation... no discount no apology no dessert nothing... awful I was the only POC in the restaurant so other people be wary of this place
Authentic and incredible. The food was cooked perfectly. Took the wife for her birthday. We will be back.
We enjoy coming to Uncle Tony‘s everytime we‘re in town. great food and wine and the owners are like family nice. Very much recommended !
Had dinner here again last night. The bruschetta was perfect and lasagna to die for. Small cozy place with great service.
While visiting family nearby we got a pizza to go. Had a glass of wine while waiting for the pizza. Friendly staff. There was a tv on, but sound was down and some music playing in the background, Frank Sinatra, quite appropriate for an Italian place. The pizza was very good. When back in town we will come back and have dinner and try some other dishes.
Very disappointing. It was kind of a special occasion for us, so we wanted to splurge on something special. What we got was just OK. Her fish was way overcooked and, even though it was listed under "Pasta" did not come with pasta, so they charged us $6.00 for it. My pasta carbonara came with big, hard chunks of pancetta that were hard and dry. The sauces were just OK. Even though were the only table occupied at the time, it took a LONG time to order and receive our food. This place proves my contention that there is NOTHING you can do to a plate of spaghetti to make it worth $30.00. Way overpriced.
Christmas Eve 2031 I had the Carpaccio appetizer and it was without exception, the very best I have ever been served. And my Osso Buco main entree was delicious. My wife had spaghetti with Vodka sauce. As if that wasn't enough, when departing we were gifted an exquisite 13 year old Italian wine. It was a perfect dining experience as always.Thank You Tony & Bukele,Jerry & Lucille
