Decades ago I was a regular customer of Pepper Tree Frosty. Then one day the sandwich maker at Pepper Tree Frosty slathered WAY too much mayonnaise on a turkey meat sandwich causing the turkey meat to slide out from the bread, and on to the ground, there was also nothing given to prevent the over slathered slippery sandwich meat from hitting the ground, like a plate. Pepper Tree Frosty did nothing to compensate me for it, at all. So I haven't been back since.
We love this place! It’s our childhood go to. However, we experienced such poor customer service that I felt the need to write a review in hopes management/owners knows what just took place. We called at 8:30pm to ask to see if Peppertree was still open and was told they closed at 9:00pm. We get in line at 8:45pm and waited with 5 kids in front of us. The young gal at the counter told the customer in front of us to tell us that they are no longer excepting customers, at this time it’s 8:50pm and we have already been waiting in line 5 mins or so. I understand the place needs to close, but customers should be taken up to 9:00pm if the signs says 9:00pm, otherwise don’t say your open until 9:00pm and when customers call don’t tell them they are open until 9:00pm. Not only it’s it rude, but it’s poor customer service. From what I saw there were a handful of customers that showed up before 9:00pm and waited in line that were turned away, which we saw all those customers at Handles. It’s sad to see young kids ruin someone’s business that has been established there for many years.
I used to go here as a Child. 40 years later it's just as good. I couldn't believe it was still in business. It's historic Vista!! Long live Pepper Tree Frosty.
We had shakes. 1 blueberry pie and the other heath bar. Both were great. Great service!
It's a great burger and milk shake place. It's been there forever. It's worth the trip for a chocolate banana shake.
How can anyone not like this place?? I will give 500 stars to cover those who gave bad reviews!Everything is yummy and it worth of the price which isn't expensive! please stop by when you are sad or... happy!
Always great food and great service. They have a huge selection of ice cream treats and milkshakes as well. Been going for years!
Very funny little ice cream shop. Outdoor seating was nice. We watched a parade of old cars cruise the boulevard. It was a nice evening to enjoy a great soft serve sundae. The service was great.

The best way to finish up a day hiking, some amazing ice cream cones here! I had the soft serve swirl cone. A small is pretty generous size!
