My husband and I walk past this place all the time and decided to try it out last night.They had a live band which was great, live music is always a bonus (especially on a Saturday!)Cam was our bartending and she was AMAZING. She really gave us a great first experience, super attentive and helped us choose some good beers.They have an awesome beer selection here.You can order some food over at Urbn which is what we did.A great lively place right in downtown Vista. I'm surprised we haven't been here before but we will definitely be back!
I remember coming to this place back in the Mother Earth days and was sad to see they are no longer here. That being said, I'm happy to say that Barrel & Stave has taken their place, and greatly improved the place! They have digital menu boards (thank you) with clearly written names of all of the craft brews they have on draft. I imagine this list probably changes periodically but honestly it shouldn't matter much as they have a wide variety of strong to weak, hoppy to sweet, pricey to cheap choices...whatever floats your boat! They have two restrooms (unisex) with locks and hand dryers. They also have beer & wine to go in a large, really cool & modern refrigerator right near the entrance. While we were there, a large group was celebrating (something) in a private room adjacent to the tap room, so it's nice to see they do support hosting events if you're looking for this. Overall nice joint, really clean and although they don't really offer food (outside of chips or cookies), URBN Pizza is literally across the street and they will even deliver the pizza right to you. Big bonus points there ?
Lots of great beers here and the space is awesome. So easy to spend a few hours here on the outside seating and just enjoy good beers and the mellow Vista downtown scene. The main reason it's not a five star review is that there aren't many local beers on tap. I think I saw only two of forty beers were from SD county, and then one hard kombucha. The lineup of beers is great, but I'd rather see more of it come from the local market.
Beer and bingo Wednesdays! Great fun and good beer. Order a pizza from urban across the street and have it hand delivered if your hungry.
Cool spot for sure, the beer tender is what made me give 2 stars though. This guy is maybe 5'6, wears a snap back hat and has a beard if it helps determining who it is. This was my second visit here and both times I had him as a beertender, upon asking him this time if they possibly had Pliny the elder he very rudely told me they don't carry russian river as he rolled his eyes then proceeded to very unenthusiastically suggest literally just one other beer in its place when this place has several IPA beer options. That was just today, the first time I came in we were talking more in depth on types of beers and he proceeded to tell me the beer I like are all mediocre and that his preference is XYZ, makong me feel like I am wrong for liking the beers I do. Congratulations, I'm the one getting the beer so don't be an a*shole. He may know a lot about beer which is great, but he is unamused by everyone's choice that he doesn't agree with it seems.

LEGIT tap house! New favorite.\\n40 taps-avrg $4-15\\n8oz-160z-32 oz\\nCraft beer \\u0026 wine - local, national, \\u0026 imported. Beer slushees $8 in rotating flavors. Large open indoor with plenty of seating standing room \\u0026 big covered front patio. Feel like your a part of the brew crew. Had an intimate friend reunion on a Monday afternoon and couldn’t be more perfect place to try some new brews and catch up on some laughs. Thank you Justen for being a great host and excellent recommendations and knowledge! Will be back. Probably tomorrow.
Great place for beer. With best pizza right across the street they deliver right to your table.
