We checked in Wed 7/6 all was good. Loved the cool room. Thurs evening the A/C stopped working. Called maintenance in the morning, they came and checked it out. We were told that there was a sensor and when it didn’t detect movement it shut off !! BULLCRAP !!! We were there with a very lrg group who will be using the hotel/convention 3-4 times a year. I even propped the door open with the desk chair and when others walked by they mentioned that they felt the heat from our room. Sat morning I almost passed out during mass. We really enjoyed the food !! Good variety for our very lrg group.

Very clean hotel, the rooms are nice as they have been remodeled in the recent years. The room did take a while to cool down, however it was very hot on the day I was there.I ate in their great room (their restaurant) for dinner and breakfast the following morning.Honestly the food was mediocre both times, but both servers acted as if I were inconveniencing them.

Hotel and Visalia is one of the biggest cities in the Sequoia Natl park area, so if you are coming to see trees this hotel is ideally suited. The hotel pool and amenties are nice after a day of exploring. Rooms have a modern look and feel. Ice and microwave on each floor is convenient. Bring extra water fpr drinking, and have a plan to arrange bathroom breaks between the hotel and national park because there might not be many rest stops on the way, and on peak days the park gets traffic. Starbucks/marketplace in hotel was well stocked and employees were all very nice. Enjoy.

Overall, it was an okay experience. Hotel was booked to 100% capacity and the hotel organization has disempowered employees where they can't be more than useful idiots. Unable to make room changes, and unable to fix bookings in person at different in-brand hotels. Hoping that Marriott reads this and starts to empower the front desk to have more capability to give guests an excellent experience.

I have stayed at this hotel many times each year because it is the only Marriott downtown. Each time, the staff customer service varies from good to horrible. It really is "hit and miss" what type of service you will be getting. Also, the hotel is extremely run down and is in desperate need of renovations. I would never stay here but have to because, as stated above, it is the only Marriott in downtown Visalia.

If you are platinum or above BE ADVISED there is no lounge. We get a suite upgrade and full buffet breakfast. It is covenient to the freeway with easy access. Ok but nothing special. We chose it for the brand & convenient place to break up a long drive

I am sorry to say this beautiful hotel is sadly extremely understaffed. What staff they do have are kind, but highly overworked. I am, and the lady I traveled with, are both handicapped. There are no bellhops, so unloading and loading was up to us. On both occasions of arriving and leaving, other hotel patrons were kind enough to help us. Amazing! The maids only clean the rooms every three days, or after you check out, so you have to keep asking for items you need and there is no trash pick up. I could not get connected to the wifi, even with the help of staff. There is never more than one or two staff at registration. They have to find supplies, even help patrons to their rooms (if needed), run the Starbuck's counter and more. I could go on and on, but, please Marriott, get your employees some help. Add some bellhops to each shift. Clean the rooms. I do realize after Covid there has been most likely a need to make up for losses, but don't lose more patrons from lack of service, or make us stand by and watch your overworked employees. There must be a way. What should have been a wonderful time in a lovely place became a royal pain, if you know what I mean.

Room….very smelly, deodorizer used over powering…..rooms, clean, hot water in the shower, wait for it, finally comes, breakfast, not great but edible for most, laundry, overpriced $3.25, dry is the same

We had a last minute one night stay there and it was decent quality fo the buck. It's not a new facility, you could see paint scratched here and there but overall room was clean and ok. Basic amenities, just what you would expect from business hotel room. Staff at the desk and in the restaurant was very polite and helpful. On the bad side: * You can hear elevators even in room on the other end of the hall * Hotel breakfast was a misunderstanding. Dirty coffee cups, low availability - there was a mother's day event which literally eliminated the breakfast time and nobody really bothered to inform us about it so we had to rush.

The hotel is in a great location, it’s walking distance to downtown ( Main Street) Visalia. It’s a small town but has so much character. Main Street has different kinds of restaurants and coffee shop to add to your pleasant stay at Marriott. The room was comfortable for the 4 of us, clean and lots of counter spaces to put your luggage. There’s plenty of parking even if you come back late. This a hotel to stay at especially if you’re planning a trip to Sequoia/ kings National Park. There’s also a nearby Dutch Bros coffee( all their drinks is a must try)
