Yesterday evening, my girlfriend and I got Rubio’s for dinner. Just a few hours later, our stomachs started to hurt and we both had diarrhea. During the night, I threw up twice and struggled to fall asleep because of the pain. So I decided to go to the clinic today and it was confirmed that I had a stomach virus. Since I was feeling fine before, I’m sure it was the food at Rubio’s that made us sick.Only reason I’m giving it a 2 star is because I do enjoy eating here. However, standards have dropped at the restaurant and now I have to put up with this pain for a few days.I wouldn’t recommend eating here for the time being.
I haven’t eaten meat in 11 years, I decided to try the impossible street tacos and omg they’re amazing especially to me someone who’s been without meat in years they taste so real it kinda freaked me out for a second but I definitely recommend I always ask for extra lime. I’ve eaten a few varieties of impossible meat and this is seasoned perfectly.
Fish tacos are tasty as well as the Mexican Street Corn bowl with grilled shrimp. The bowl is filling, although I would request a little more sauce for flavor.
Had a California burrito from here and surprisingly it was excellent! I like a good hole in the wall Mexican spot but my wife likes places like this so I took a chance it was good!
Ordered the impossible tacos and burrito. Everything tasted good and the impossible meat was cooked perfectly . I forgot to ask for no cheese on my burrito but they did it for me because I said no dairy on the phone. All the workers were very polite.
All they care about is enforcing face diapers. Meanwhile California Fish Grill makes far better food and service is not discriminating. Can't wait to hear what restaurant replaces Rubios soon. Used to like Rubios but when all a company wants to do is not serve customers, its time for them to leave town.
12/26/21 worst service ever. Wait 30 min past pickup time on app to get my meal for it to be nasty. People behind counter had no idea how to make stuff and were looking through books to figure it out. They said 2 people called out which happens…but maybe shut the app down so people don’t order if you cannot fulfill the orders or close the place for the day. Fresno is only one I can go to in the future
Went in for lunch and left because the staff was very rude and unprofessional. Restaurant appeared dirty and unkept. I won't go back.
Had a terrible experience here at rubios coastal grill in packwood Visalia Ca. The service was terrible as for the food! The young lady upfront cashier was being rude and refused to even bring the manager up front! I was completely disappointed and the hours have been cut so they refused to service me due to closing! This will most definitely be my last time here as for if anyone is asking for recommendations, DO NOT EAT HERE!
Rubio's in Visalia is located in the Packwood shopping center on Mooney Blvd. It's one of my family's favorite spots and we frequent it quite often. The Mexican Street corn has melted cotija cheese and makes a great side dish. The California bowl with blackened Mahi and the white Chipotle sauce is my personal preference, and I add the grilled veggies to the top for extra flavor. The shrimp and bacon burritos are also amazing....shrimp + bacon = delish!
