My nephew chose this restaurant for his birthday and there were only four of us dining in. I liked the atmosphere and design overall. Food tasted good but not great. Mom didn't like Miso soup, said it tasted old and too much onion flavor. Yakisoba had lots of bell pepper and sliced onion. Chicken is tender and seasoned well. I didn't feel like ordering seafood, I don't trust many places when it comes to preparing fish knowing that Visalia isn't a location known for Fresh Seafood. Good menu options and desserts available. 2 staff members sang happy Birthday and were very nice. Servers could be a little more attentive but were friendly and did check on us. I would like to try other menu items and possibly sushi ? in the future. Tried Saki for the first time...not my first choice but interesting flavor and it definitely has the alcohol taste going down?

We don't get to come here often, but when we do, they never disappoint! Tapenyaki is on point, atmosphere is uplifting, and the staff is so friendly! The food alone will keep you coming back!
Been here several times and had good experiences. Tried to call for a hibachi reservation today and got hung up on. Called back later since their website lists Saturday opening at 1130 while google says 11. Line is busy, seems like they left the phone off the hook on purpose. If you guys don’t want paying customers say less. As someone who has spent years in the industry this is disappointing.
Gozen Japanese Restaurant Never going back. Besides the advertising on the menu? All though u are making $ for advertising? I rather not see pest control before ordering my food. I don't want to be guessing what u have for drinks. U need to RE-TRAIN your employees on customer service Either it's your Lack on the manager part or workers? They need to be re trained. Asking for a glass a water and being told it's not there table? Is not what I was expecting. U have No good customer service, just rude employees

We have been to this place several times for my birthday celebration and always loved the food and chef. This time we were totally disappointed. The chef was boring, the scallops were not cooked, the rest of the food had no flavor including salad and soup. I no longer recommend this place. Signed, reappointed
Make a teppanyaki reservation 2days ago so we can have the foods! Great foods and atmosphere ??
