Went in the Visalia El Pollo Loco restaurant Wednesday afternoon. Ordered the 8 piece family dinner with 2 large sides. Chicken was good but the rice was hard. It was very crunchy. Had to call and speak to the Mgr. The beans had a lot of water in the cup. I had the beans in other El Pollo restaurants and never had that much h water in the cup. Corn tortillas just did not taste good. Our meal was not so good.

Was very fresh! Best Pollo loco I've gone too!! So far!

The food is really good but the place is really dirty , food on the floor, the fountains don’t work and the restrooms are really gross the napkin holder everything is dirty and the tables are greasy , some of the workers are rude.

It was pretty good: food was fresh...Every place is so, SO slammed by Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. these days. It's hard for places to be attentive to the face-to-face customers. The staff at this place had a good attitude & smiled easily. It says alot when ppl are ordering delivery AND visiting the brick n mortar locations too. A place has good food when it's like this!<

Pollo Loco’s chicken is way way way better than KFC’s chicken.Their $5 menu is really good. I would highly recommend their $5 chicken nacho. It comes with a large drink.

I used to liked this place. I drove to the Porterville location before the Visalia location opened. I have been disappointed the last couple of times I have been here. The chicken is dry and burnt. The rice is crunchy, it’s like the burnt rice that’s at the bottom of the container. This last trip I had to go three times. They forgot to put the rice in my bag then I got home and saw the chicken that I was given burnt chicken. When you order a meal it’s a hit or miss. Check your chicken before you get home!

Don’t let the name crazy (loco) fool you. It has an average flavor. Not bad and not great. For Mexican fast food, I’ll give it a B-. A little more spice and a little more heat could work wonders. But for a safe non-adventurous meal, this meal wont offend.

Really dry and burn chicken. Can't even chew the chicken so now is just a regular salad with no chicken. I give it no stars. Very bad experience need new cooks or they just don't care on the service I will never go here again. It sucks because u give other pollo locos a bad name.

Quality control definitely decreases 1 hour before closing time. We've gone to get family meals an hour before closing time and the chicken is not moist or tender like it is throughout the day. I understand chicken takes a while to grill but I feel cheated for my money when food and quality control is not taken into consideration. As a customer of this or any other restaurant I expect good quality food for my hard earned money. I hope this helps others make a better late night meal choice.
