Great atmosphere, attentive & friendly staff! Everytime I go to The Bistro I try something new & nothing has disappointed me! A Visalia gem ?!

Very good food! Amazing service!

It was a middle of the road experience. The staff was friendly and efficient. The ambiance was nice. The food was ok. I had the chicken marsala and it was good enough but nothing special. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars was because our food took nearly half an hour to only be ok. I don't think I'll be returning the next time I visit Visalia.

Very delicious food indeed

If you want to wait over an hour and a half for a burnt pizza, this place might be for you. Otherwise, steer clear. When we kept trying to ask the waitress what was going on, her response was "the kitchen works in mysterious ways." (In all honesty, our waitress was incredibly friendly and kind, and did apologize at the end of the meal. My review is based on the restaurant, not her)I finally got the carbonara pizza, but it honestly tasted really off. The bottom crust was burnt to the point it dominated the flavor, and the dough was flavorless. Even my friend, who got the pizza the last time he went and recommended the pizza to me, was disappointed with his. I would've asked for a replacement, but I was too hungry to wait another 90 min for food.(I'd share photos of my burnt pizza, but my phone died while waiting for so long)Other than that, the drinks were nothing special. Whiskey sour was acceptable.I have no plans to ever return to this place.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Restaurant was clean and had a cute funky vibe. Food was just okay. Overall, it was expensive and blah. Ordered the following:Caesar salad: just lettuce cheese and dressing, felt like it was missing something however there was enough dressing for the whole salad and the “crouton” was a piece of bread but broken up it was soft and not rock hard like normal croutons.Beet salad: also felt like it was missing something, dressing was yummy and beets were yummy, candied walnuts were tasty but some were burnt. Goat cheese was yummy.Pasta Alfredo: be prepared, giant noodles, kinda bland but a little peppery, kids enjoyed this one.Spaghetti and Meatballs: again, kinda bland, no one liked the meatballs, flavorless and dry.

The complexity of most of the sauces and the perfect aldente pasta, along with super sweet staff we're my positives. One of the pasta dishes we recieved had watery sauce with very little flavor, the noodles were unseasoned, and the price was very high for the portions. Also the tiramisu was a little strange... Not bad but odd. Overall not bad but probably won't be back

This is a hidden gem hiding in plain sight. It is on Main St., but its understated and elegant decor can be overlooked by the more bombastic places next to it. Every single item was delicious. Steamed oysters, baked goat cheese, the pork chop special with steamed veggies, the wine selection. The professional staff. There are no weak links here. Also, the background music was excellent. I will be back.

Amazing! Love love this gem on Main street. My favorite is the Bistro Club and when they offer Split Pea soup I highly recommend it!

They might just make the best Chicken Marsala out there. Very good service, great cocktails, kind staff, and the food is always fresh & tasty.
