An excellent way to spend time on the weekend. Mark has done a fabulous job upgrading Jolly Oyster. Well done! The long awaited bar is finally here! Bubbly and Kumamoto oysters with Jolly Oysters “secret” Thai sauce will have you craving the combination when you least expect it. Another personal favorite is their grilled oysters. I recommend the sampler platter. Try them all! When you are done, have fun adding your oyster scrap pile to the collection. It’s a fantastic experience!
They used to have a store near my hone in GARDENA but unfortunately closed down.So now I come to this location every time on my way to Santa Barbara. They just got their liquor license last week and now serving beer and wine at the location. But you can still bring your own and have a picnic.Love love love their Kumamoto Oysters. Never can have enough ?♥️
This is my second weekend in a row at Jolly Oyster in Ventura. June 2022 has let them expand their option items, all which you must try. The staff is lovely...you feel so welcomed. Come for the food and drinks and stick around for the sunset!
The clam steamer’s are one of my favorites and you can’t forget about the Kumamoto with a bit-o lemon. Perfect combination! Now they have beer and wine, pair your meal with a nice white wine and you won’t be disappointed.
Had a great time! When we first arrive they asked how many at out party just like in a regular restaurant, provided us with shade then we ordered our oysters, they were fresh! Meaty! Enjoyed each one... highly recommend this place.
Awesome awesome awesome with some more awesome been a while since i have been here but always good friendly staff great atmosphere awesome oysters
Situated in a beach side state park, the unique location is the star of the show! You’ll find reasonably priced seafood served out of two food trucks. Fresh oysters in all forms (baked, fried, and raw) are the highlight. Uni is not always available!
Finally made it here on a Sunday morning.Glad we came here for some lunch! No pictures of the food we had, but everything was greatWe had two types of oysters. We had ceviche. We had fried oysters. We brought our own beer.We stayed over an hour so we paid $10 to park. The parking voucher is good for an hour.
The oysters tasted great and I was able to finally use my shocking equipment. If u done want to open your own oysters fear not... u can get full service at the food truck..both close at the same time.
This was an okay experience. I was anticipating a bit more from the ceviche and oyster tacos (there was more garnish than actual oyster which I could barely taste). The outdoor seating is pretty neat, there is a sea of oyster shells from the shuck your own menu. As I was eating, the staff were busy taking down umbrellas which made it feel a bit rushed despite 1.5hrs until they closed. There were two places to order, the hut or the truck. The gentleman in the truck was extremely warm and friendly.
