Ask for Mitch. Warm moist biscuits with homemade strawberry jam, buttermilk pancakes the size of California and Turkey sausage was a great alternative to pork. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the options available at Pete’s Breakfast House. I ordered the Frittata, and it came with just the right texture Home Fried Potatoes (you can also substitute the potatoes for tomatoes or cottage cheese) and Toast (wheat, rye, sourdough, etc or biscuit). I also ordered a slice of French Toast to try.The Frittata was delicious with the diced salsa on top and sour cream; the vegetables were tender and I appreciated the amount of vegetables in the frittata. With the addition of the Toast and Home Fried Potatoes, this was a hearty meal. But I couldn’t pass on trying the French Toast, and boy was I glad I did. The French Toast is DELICIOUS and a MUST try!The waitress I had also recommended the Mexicali and the Huevos Rancheros as vegetarian options too. I plan to go back to try both and another round of French Toast; probably a full order of French Toast the next time. From the friendly waitstaff and the ambiance of the establishment, you get an all around pleasant experience at Pete’s Breakfast House.
People I Can’t stress it enough on how well these ppl conduct business & taste. 2nd time round in the past month. Straight fires ???The customer service is amazing! 3 wonderful different women asked me if I needed anything extra when I called in for takeout.P.S. one of the employees actually called me back since he forgot to ask what I’d prefer, sausage or bacon ? like who does that? Loved it. Best biscuits and gravy I've found in the Ventura County area. Bacon was perfect. Pancakes were delicious, the maple syrup was outstanding. Friendly helpful staff. Will be coming back sooner rather than later.
Excellent breakfast! Get there early so you can get a seat. If you are a robust, dark coffee drinker, then get a different drink with your breakfast. Service and vibe was very good.
Pete's breakfast house has ample parking which I appreciate. Upon entering we were greeted by friendly staff (didn't catch her name but had a British accent) and requested to sit outside because we had our furbaby. Pretty eclectic menu, with lots to choose from that can suffice any appetite. Ordered Homemade corned beef hash with over medium eggs and side biscuit - The portion size was ample and the hash itself was well seasoned as was the potatoes. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the beans (canned?). The biscuit was a good size portion and met all expectations including the homemade jam Pancake Roll - Once again this dish exceeded expectations with the generous amount of seasonal berries and vanilla yogurt filled a nice light and fluffy pancake. Oh lastly, the only thing they need to work on was the coffee and it seemed a bit weak,
I judge a restaurant on the cleanliness of a bathroom. Spotless! The wait staff was amazing. The food was delicious. Great place!!!
