I was satisfied that I chose this place famous for its restaurants. I had oysters as an appetizer, and it was so fresh and sweet. It was the best feeling while the chefs were busy serving and explaining the food.If there is one disappointment, it would have been better if the oysters and the sauce to eat were served together. would like to visit again.

This is a very nice spot. Ravioli were delicious, the seafood was fresh. Great oysters, especially the ones from Fanny Bay, cioppino was spicy but very good. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Food was brought very quickly. The atmosphere at this location is nice and relaxing. The furniture is comfortable. One of the best things is that we didn’t have to wait, even though it was a Friday evening when we came in.

Usually one of the best restaurants in Ventura or the top choice for me and always high quality food and fresh fish. Came here this recent evening for a birthday celebration and although other plates we ordered were super great, the seared ahi plate was inedible and not fresh. Very chewy like bubble gum. So this meal was wasted and what I ordered. We were really happy with everything else even though we ate at the bar because they do not take reservations. Service is friendly even though very busy.

When it comes to food, I can be ridiculously picky and annoying. It's usually very hard for me to like everything I have ordered From one visit because there is always something that I dislike! That wasn't the case when I visited lure fish house!! Wow is what I would call this place! Everything was soooooooooooo good! I can't describe it, you have to try it yourself. I'll bookmark this place as a MUST TRY IN VENTURA. It is so beautiful inside and outside, great service, plenty of food options and AMAZING FOOD! My fiancé has been here before and decided to come again so I can try it. They don't take reservations over the phone so you have to go there and make it. We got there, they have some waiting for outdoor but even longer wait for indoor. However bar area is open if you choose to sit there while waiting for your table. That was the plan however there was a sweet lady that was sitting at the bar whom she had reservation and was texted to be seated but already sat at the bar and had her food so she gave us her spot. Thanks Leslie. We sat down and our server came and asked us for drink order, and made some recommendations, the house specials are good, but really everything is good.Started with some oysters, I'm not the biggest fan but those were OUTSTANDING. They tastes sooooo good! Actually they have cute oyster bar which is adorable. Got the house ceviche and asked for no onions so pick was on the Side However it still has onions. I tried it, it was good but I wasn't planning to pick every onion out. Then we got the clam chowder!! The best I've even had besides the one I had in Seattle. I ordered the silly sand dabs, my first time having it. It was sooooo good! I got it with squash and Brussel sprouts. It comes with some sauce. The server didn't recommend it but I thought it was perfect! My fiancé got the seabass but I don't think it was presented that well, he said his food was okay, I tried it and I felt it was okay too but I enjoyed everything else! This place is definitely my favorite! I will return to it soon once I'm back in Ventura!! Delicious is an understatement!! Try it!tried this place few more times and never disappoints!!

The food at Lure is consistently good but you can’t say for a lot of other restaurants during the pandemic. We sat outside I. The big tent which was very nice. We had an outstanding rockfish ceviche, cioppino, and sole In crushed almonds. What was not nice was the floor under our table was littered with french fries and crumbs from lunch service. I posted a picture and it’s not very appetizing. You can see through the tables to the floor so we could t help looking at this refuse from other meals. But the food is good so I do recommend Lure.

Wow. This may be a top-20 of all time meal. We started with the Spicy Seafood Ceviche. It was voluminous and delicious. Easily could be an app for 3-4 people. We were nearly full after eating it. Fortunately, we had room for the Cioppino and the Veracruz [fish] Platter. Both excellent. We had to take-away and finished each dish for breakfast the next day - still great.

We hit the jackpot when we stumbled upon this restaurant for dinner. There was a long wait on Saturday evening, but it was worth wandering around in nearby cute shops to pass the time. The bread, clam chowder, sea bass, and rockfish were delicious, but it was the charbroiled oysters that stole the show. When our waitress came to ask about dessert, we ordered another round of oysters instead.

Great place for fresh seafood. Shrimp and pasta was good. Anything on the daily catch is good. Drinks are strong and good. Great service. Reasonably priced. Check before you go because we went on a Saturday while there was several events going on. Took us 45 minutes to find parking. Use Uber or Lyft from your hotel to save yourself stress of trying to find parking.

Wow! All around great dinner. Server had good recommendations and the food and service were very good. We would eat here again.

We had a nice dinner at Lure while on a quick visit through Ventura. The atmosphere is nice, we were seated relatively quickly, the bar was a nice place to get a drink before our table was ready. I'd go back.
