I eat here when I work in Ventura. I've taken auditors to lunch here; everyone ravies about the food they give you. I've never been able to finish my food, they are generous. I don't eat meat and am pretty picky about where I eat. I've gone here for years, and I've never been disappointed.
After loving Corrales for over 30 years, I am very dissatisfied & disappointed. It appears that a new cook doesn’t know how to cook the Mexican Arroz, I ordered three large orders that were mushy & tasteless. The sauces have changed, mine were lumpy & not as before. It’s a sad day!!!
If you want outstanding and extremely DELISHIOUS food served by courteous and friendly staff, this is the place. If I could I would give not 5 stars, but all the stars in the universe. Positively the BEST Mexican take out food In Ventura County.
I come here for an occasional breakfast burrito ? It’s a pretty good spot.
Delicious Mexican cuisine and wonderfully friendly staff. We went for a date and loved the food. Lots of vegetarian options as well. I had the combo plate with chili relleno and two cheese enchiladas. She had the tostadas de papa. _Ambos son SABROSOS!!_ Did I mention their drinks are great?! ?? Recommended ??
Corrales is a Ventura staple. You can't go wrong with a bean, rice, and cheese burrito for breakfast or lunch. To kick it up a notch add the Chile Verde to it. My other lunch favorite is the veggie burrito add chicken. They get busy so it's best to time it right.
This is the best burrito in Southern California. They have set the benchmark for fresh ingredients, well-seasoned beans, flavorful hot sauce, and tasty meat. Call ahead, it takes a bit to get your food.
Nothing! Nothing makes a breakfast burrito worth charging $10.24 for. Nothing! But that is what matters have come to. What was once the lowest ring on the food chain--Mexican food--- Corrales in Ventura is now on par with every pricey restaurant on the block. Bull feathers. I don't need that! Rice? Beans? Egg? And potatoes? Go to the market, get all four ingredients and you can make yourself breakfast freakin' burritos all freakin' weak for pennies on the $. Three thumbs-down on Corrales!
Food is ok. But omg it is slow. Have to stand there like an idiot for half an hour for some tacos. Budget time or call ahead before going.
This is a family-owned spot with outdoor seating only. I love their breakfast burrito best of all and stop here often for food on the go.
