Our garage sale day had us ending up in Ventura at lunchtime. Being hungry & tired, I checked Maps for a quick, close cafe and we lucky enough to find Cafe 126. The kindest, warmest service and the food was hearty and delicious. I had the California Omelette and my friend had a chicken salad sandwich ~ we were both enormously satisfied. This place is definitely on our radar!
Great food with a fantastic breakfast menu. Probably the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. Excellent table service by friendly waitresses, the coffee is always good I've been coming here for years and don't think I've had a bad meal yet. However, recently I have found myself sharing my breakfast with several extremely annoying uninvited guests. It seems as if they've developed a fly problem. I really don't remember this as being an issue in the past, but the last couple times I've visited the restaurant I've had flies landing on my food on the rim of my coffee cup on my arm on the table it's really disgusting as well as annoying. By the way, My waitress said she was aware of the problem.
This quaint little Cafe off hyw.126 is so good you need to stop by and try one of their famous breakfasts. Their chicken fried chicken breast with eggs and choice of potatoes is fabulous. They have a chilé Verde and eggs plate that is out of this world. Plus other items too. Yum. Give em a try.
Staff is so amazingly nice and very quick with service. Love love love this cafe. Keep up the wonderful work and great food.
Great food, service, cleanliness. Important to support local eateries. Has a cute little train that travels around the ceiling of the restaurant. We'll be back.
Generally in PERSON - they attempt to get my order correct - the servers are great - even to remember my name - however since COVID - bring elderly - I’ve started the Grubhub and my orders have been lacking. Not tasty at all - definitely lacking in seasoning - and usually WRONG - instead of Hashbrowns - it home fries - and instead of Sourdough - it’s White bread - no communication as to why!! I just hope they start to Give their ALL to the P/U orders as well especially as we’re paying more already - and I had left a TIP to them also - Can I get an AMEN ?

I love this place! I come here often and have always gotten a consistent and delicious meal! The servers are friendly and attentive! The coffee is always fresh, and the atmosphere is delightfully warm and inviting! The menu is what you would expect for the most part, but there is always a fun inventive twist on something!
Great little restaurant large portions great food great waitresses great cooks never had a bad experience at this restaurant highly highly recommend it don’t pass it up if you get a chance to go there
