So great to come back and eat at the busy bee, it’s been a few years since I’ve been here lots changed but, a lot hasn’t changed. Still a great place for a really good meal, happy service and great food. I will definitely come back because here because it’s great! Don’t be lame, eat here!
Excellent food and service. Very fair pricing and large portions. 50's atmosphere is amazing complete with old booth juke boxes.
Ordered regular bacon burger with milkshake. Not bad at all. Love the fries. Played 2 songs from that little juke box next to our table just like the old days. Service was very pleasant.
Ordered 2 fish & chips for lunch. The waitress recommended it. The fish was low quality. It was overcooked and had a burned taste. One of the last pieces of fish that I tried to eat had a cooked parasite/worm in the flesh, it was so disgusting I couldn't take another bite. The fish was on special for $15.99 but they charged full price. I had to ask 3 people for a correction. They argued that the bill was right at nearly $60 for 2 meals. I had to total the bill myself to show them the correct price. I shouldn't have even had to pay for it because it was one of the worst meals I've ever had.
Love the outdoor eating experience here- and inside is so retro and fun. They have breakfast cocktails - and let me tell you- they do not disappoint. I ordered the Ojai Sunrise- some kind of blueberry, peach, strawberry fruit salad muddled with bourbon and mint. It's delicious! French Toast was also superb. Service was wonderful, fast and friendly. Portions are so huge- so come hungry or share! (Not the drinks. Get your own drink forsure) something absolutely rad about ordering a milkshake for your kids and some fries and a martini for you. Don't miss this place!
Exactly what you're looking for in diner fare! Staff is always friendly and service is always very prompt. I recommend the tuna melt and the Reuben! Fries are always great and perfectly cooked.
Dining gluten-free is tricky on vacation, typically plain + boring food. But NOT here! The owners wife eats GF, so he gets it. AND his GF raisin bread?! The best ever.
Absolutely fell in love with this cafe. Breakfast is served all day, cocktails, beers, and milkshakes are available. They also have vegetarian options as well. My parents are picky when it comes to American food but this place is so flavorful. We definitely found a new family favorite place and will be back to try their breakfast. The 50s style theme is adorable and is very clean. Our server was very helpful and kind. You can look to spend about $12-23 for a plate.
Had a hamburger I split with my friend since it was too much and it was really good. I ordered a side of sweet potatoes fries and they were absolutely fantastic! The best I have had...Our server Nora was great! Highly recommend this place. I will definitely be coming back.
Very cute place it really takes you back to the 50's ,but however the fish and chips were horrible. My stew bread bowl was so hot that i couldn't eat a bite of it while there but did heat it up the next day and it was really good. IF YOU GO DEFINITELY TRY THE LEMONADE IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!
