Unfortunately I must say that we had a pretty bad experience. Because their food didn’t have any flavor. Maybe they need to add salt, I’m not sure about that or some type of seasoning. The food was pretty bland. We ordered the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. The clam chowder tasted more like a beaten half-and-half, There was no clam flavor at all.The shrimp skewers had a lot of paprika but not enough salt. The fish and chips were the same way no flavor, the onion rings… they’re pretty nice looking but there was no flavor at all. I’m sorry to say again. We will not go back there.See the photos. ??The place was average.
It was okay. It’s very noisy around the person taking our order and he ended up giving us an extra order. It’s very warm at the tables. It’s open air. Birds fly in and out and eat leftovers off the tables while you’re eating. The cod and chips are good. The halibut is mushy but it’s okay. Had to go back and get tartar sauce a couple times. The little paper cups are tiny. No one busses the tables and people walk off and leave trash but I guess that’s not the manager’s fault. It’s a good place to get your grub and eat it and get out but that’s about it.
Quick SummaryPosted a review about 1-2 years ago and Andria's got back to me and sent a dinner voucher for 2. Recently used it, and the food and service was much better. This is a no-frills seafood restaurant that offers large portionsFood- 4 starsShrimp cocktail- this was pretty good and the shrimp was very fresh and juicy. Great start to the mealGrilled seabass plate- very large portions. My only complaint about their grilled fish dishes is that the fish can be dry (I guess it would be good if you come here to eat healthy). Would recommend adding some butter and salt (which they provide) onto the fishCioppino- I was actually more impressed from their non-grill menu options. Similar to the previous dishes, this is a very large portion with large seafood pieces. It had decent flavor, but adding some wine to the soup would've elevated it higherService- 5 starsIt's a fast casual restaurant that offers indoor and outdoor seating. There are heat lamps available, so despite the heavy wind, it was still a comfortable outdoor experienceBottom LineAndria's is the no-frills seafood diner that offers excellent, large, and fresh seafood. But I would recommend trying their more battered options and other seafood options (instead of the grilled plate options) if you're looking for more flavor
Food was delicious... first time there a friend recommended it and if we come by this way again we will make sure to stop by
My first time at Andria's did not disappoint. Sampled the clam chowder, calamari and chips, and deep fried fish. Every bite was delicious. The calamari is like mini steaks, so you really taste it; so good. The chowder is thick and creamy, but the clam bites are small. Great way to end an afternoon at the harbor. Definitely going back soon.
The line let us know this was probably a good bet. The staff hustles to keep things moving and the food fresh, hot, and delicious. With so many choices, we opted for something simple. Our fish and chips were delicious. Plenty of covered, outdoor seating.
I haven't been here in about 2 years or so. It was nice to come back and try the clam chowder, fish and chips, cod sandwich, and chicken marinara sandwich. The only thing deserving the stars was the fish and chips and chowder. I guess we should stick to old favorites. The Cod was dry and bland, chicken sandwich was the same. I think it will be our go-to for those 2 items if we have a craving for them.
Everything was delicious. We ordered captains combo, andrias original fish and chips a clam chowder bouey and onion rings. We did the covid take out. Ordered to go but ate in our car right in front of the store. :) everything was crispy and delicious we took home some fish and chips soup and onion rings to the kids and we live about 15mins away and everything was still warm and crispy. We still had left overs after sharing with the kids. You get alot for the price but what really makes it worth it ...its good. We will go again for sure
Best fish & chips in SoCal
After visiting the harbor on a very cold night, we decided that a hot bowl of clam chowder is just what we needed. We opted for the bread bowl and it was fantastic. Steaming hot, filled with all the clams, etc. you would hope for. The bread bowl itself was awesome. Also, the shrimp cocktail was fresh and tasty. A great selection of local and domestic beers and wine. Prices were reasonable considering where you are dining.
