I went for a quick drink to celebrate a friends birthday post dinner and got my card stolen and whomever stole my card left a cute $200 tip on a $32 bill. Have been fighting with the venue since October 2021 to get my money back or some kind of communication, but have received very little to no response. This is beyond ridiculous and spend your money elsewhere. They don’t care about doing the right thing.
Bouncer turned us away because one of the guys was wearing sandals. Said it was a liability when we had seen multiple women entering with sandals. This bar is 300 ft from the beach... Seriously???
This place scammed my partner. Her card was charged twice in one night -- once for her actual bill and a second time for 2x the price of the bill. What was a $53.10 bill ended up being $160 because of a second mysterious $106.20 charge.Calls to them didn't produce a result so we charged back the card. Townhouse disputed the transaction so we're still struggling to get a fair result. The sketchiest part is, when she went to pay at the bar, they didn't know where her card is and were adimant that they didn't have it. They mysteriously found it a few minutes later. The bill that was more expensive and not hers was charged first. It seems like they charged her for someone else's bill and then charged her for her actual bill, which would explain why they couldn't find her card at first. Also, it's a little suspicious that the overcharge is exactly twice the price of the real bill, don't you think?Don't go here unless you want a night out paying for drinks you didn't buy.
You’ll really love this bar/basement-dive-bar-masquerading-as-a-hip-nightclub (complete w/ $10 cover charge) if you don’t know how to dance and simply want to stand there silently rocking/bobbing your body bc the DJ apparently has no idea how to drop a beat!? We thoroughly enjoyed listening to a seemingly endless medley of boringAF rap songs compiled by the DJ, w occasional interjections of actual clubbing (read: danceable) songs that he somehow then remixed in such a way as to drown out the main melody making it almost unrecognizable, and moreover slowed the tempo for whateverTF reason, thereby successfully cancelling out the existent dance beat!?The aforementioned unmatched ambience at this “club” was further accentuated by the complete lack of ventilation in this underground location. Since it was quite a cool night, and only 5 out of the 80 ppl here were even attempting to dance, it was quite a miracle that it was so suffocatingly hot down there!???This LA bar/club really helped make our drive home quite exhilarating bc my guy (who has DJ’d for similar-sized audiences) played his own beats which are great fun in normal circumstances, but after such an experience made him seem like a DJ God. ? If this is representative of most LA bars/clubs, then I simply cannot wait to check out the others!?
Great music. good vibes! The drinks are the bomb!!
I've only been twice as i am from Orlando but this place is great. 2 out of 2 times I've visited, they have had interesting shows. First time was a classic burlesque show and last night it was a band called Katalyst, they were like jazz fusion with soul and beats... Loved it! Diamond, behind the bar, was nice and poured some great old fashions.I will gladly go again! We don't have much like this in Orlando... Maybe I would go out more if we did.
This place was super packed. Had to be a couple hundred people in there like a sardine can, the smell was pretty bad and nobody had a mask on. Bartenders were doing their best but still took a long time to get a drink
Jeff the bouncer is the man.The bar tenders are the other men.I'm not just saying this, this is what the street has said.
OG Speakeasy from the 1930's.... Still poppin with the DOPEST musical artists!
Dope place to go out on a Saturday. Dancing and reggaeton ?
