minimal menu but lots of seats! no vegan options for the pastries but they do have gluten free. free wifi but no bathroom, not even for paying customers. staff is friendly and attentive, however it seemed that the manager (?) working tonight was scorning the other employee (?) and was telling across the cafe several times while I was in there. good location! right across from the Venice sign and just a couple of blocks away from the beach
Somewhat, kinda ok, place to pick up a coffee or latte.Although, way much better is the Starbucks, on the boardwalk.Because, this place is "clueless", about a true latte and an actual Milano.ie. Milno is a northern Italian city, which is internationally recognized "as one" of the major fashion capitals of the world.(with Italian companies, such as ;Versace, Gucci, Prada, "Capezio"?dance,Dolce and Gabbana, Giogiro Armani, and yes, even Adidas. )Therefore, as an Italian "northern" city, its cuisine is heavily influenced by French foods, such as; milk, creams, "vanilla", white chocolates, oaky tastes.Very different cuisine and coffee, of most all, southern Italians with hearty tomatoes, olives, dark red grapes, black lava flavors and thick espressos.Actually, analogous, to a northern Canadian restaurant, which would "claim" to specialize, in perhaps, southern soul food cuisine, of mashed potatoes, fried chicken, bbq and such.Instead of maple, apples, and northern Canadian cultures and tundra.Completely different beautifully diverse cultures and actual cuisines.Another example, you wouldn't enter a Chinese restaurant and expect to order hot dogs and popcorn, correct.But, this is exactly, the clueless, choices of coffee and cuisine this place offers.My suggestion to this place, take a educational course from Starbucks.About real coffee. ?
Disappointed in service...I ordered vegan burrito, cashier said I didn't. Instead of debating, I offered to meet in middle and pay 50% for second order. Was told I would only get 10% discount. Most other spots wouldn't even charge me for order fix, and then I'd give a big tip as a thank you for great hospitality. What I encountered was just not good service. I liked their menu, but I won't be going back.
I had a cafe MOCHA and my SISTER had one too. Yum yum yum. It was iced. I also had a bowl of Chicking Teriyaki and rice. Quick and easy. My sister is now saying she had a bagel with cheese and egg .can’t remember what called but I think maybe it has a second egg. Thanks cafe
Stopped by here before our dinner reservations. Customer service was prompt and made our order appropriate. It’s a nice little store. A lot of bakery options, although, expect not as much before close. The draft from the outside made it a little cold to sit inside, however, it was comfortable regardless.
The team at Cafe Collage that we encountered this morning are super stars!! The woman who took our order and hustled to make our coffees and smoothie bowls while also tending to other customers and issues was just the kindest calmest person we could have hoped to help us and the nice gentleman that made our breakfast burritos and other items was speedy and kind. If I lived in Venice I would make a point of making this my go to breakfast and coffee spot.Thank you for the wonderful experience great coffee and delicious breakfast!!
Staff is what makes this rating. We were the first ones there at 7am, and it quickly got busy. But the woman at the counter never lost her cool, answering our many questions knowledgeably and patiently. Super accommodating and great options for vegans - I got oatmeal (just quick oats and hot water with a few berries $8.95) and the Asian salad to go ($13.95.) I didn’t get a smoothie because the almond milk was sweetened (which I appreciate she knew.) Wish I’d had cash to leave more of a tip for all her added kindness and seeing how patient she was with everyone. Pricey for what I’m used to, but probably on par for the area.
Great place to get a smoothie or breakfast sandwich. I stop by here at least once a week. Their pastries are freshly baked. Smoothies always taste like fresh fruit. Food is fairly price. Probably my favorite quick bite to eat in Venice.
