Amazing and great friendly family oriented staff. Real people preparing real awesome food. I've never had anything I didn't like. I've been told the ox tail is to die 4. Considering it for my next order. Mark us a attentive wise proprietor and loves to be hands on. A must stop n try beef ribs are out of this world.
Great food been here twice so far and the food has been fantastic each time. So far I've had the fried chicken and the gumbo bothe were so good the chicken. Was nice and crispy the gumbo had an amazing taste. I also had the peach cobbler and that was fantastic I highly recommend this place because I'm definitely going to go back and get something new.

I'm really prepared to change this rating to 5 stars! The women who helped me were so nice and just great all around!I was really looking forward to trying a lot of things but they were out of basically everything on that list. The food looked beautiful but was extremely salty! The mashed sweet potatoes luckily made a little bite of food edible but basically everything but was extremely overly salty, especially, and most unfortunately, the collard greens! I want to go back and give them another shot because I would like to believe maybe I just ordered later in the day than I should have and got the serving at the bottom of the pot or something.
Amazing place to eat. Believe the wonderful lady that helped us was Paris. I love fried chicken ? ? ? and if you love fried chicken, you have to check this place out. Small shop tucked in the corner. Drove by it many times and had no idea it was there until a friend pointed it out. Now, my go to place for fried chicken.
Great food, service and atmosphere! Everything is made in house and it's fantastic. Took a date here for the 1st time and we'll definitely be returning for future meals! Look forward to hearing the live music next month as well. Just go, you won't regret that decision!
Amazing old fashion down home BBQ dinner. Ribs , Mac cheese, potato salad, corn bread was my reward for a God honoring day. Buddy buddy said "best chicken he ever tasted, Awesome!! " . Excellent P/R . Paris was very pleasant kind and helpful. Treated us not as a customer but like welcoming friends. God bless you and the chef.

I came here for the first time and truly loved the food! We tore that food up so fast I forgot to take pictures. I’m African American but my husband is Mexican but he loves soul food. He had the ribs dinner and he thought it was a small order but it was so much food he took a lot home. I also got peach cobbler to go home with and all I can say is OMG!!! Hats off to this place it’s now my go to spot for Soul/Creole/Cajun food. The lemonade was good too! Bring your appetite because your gonna get stuffed!!! The staff is kind and attentive, even the owner came out and greeted us and made sure we were happy! Hands down best food ever and we will be back! Thank you Vanessa and Paris!
First time visit and it will not be my last. If you need a good NOLA fix, this is the spot. Our host Paris made great recommendations, and everything was delicious! Can't wait to bring more friends to this little gem.
