Oh boy it doesn’t get much better than Rubios. Unfortunately the one in Thousand Oaks closed some time ago so now I have to drive to Santa Clarita. I would recommend the Salmon Burrito first and foremost. Make sure to get it blackened as well. Perhaps one of the most delicious lunches you can get in the area. Just my opinion.
I've been going to this Rubio's for over half my life, since back when they had an aquarium! There's been changes throughout the years and definitely many due to covid, so I thought it's about time I make a review!Something that has stayed consistent is the quality of service and food, both of which I am very happy with. My current go-to is the shrimp burrito with the spicy-citrus green sauce (not the salsa verde). It's one of my favorite Baja-style restaurants and the prices have stayed reasonable, an easy 5 star rating for consistency.
Great fish, great lobster, great arroz y frijoles, but the only problem I have is with the employees. One of the servers wasn't really wearing a mask, it was over their nose. All the employees are teens and sometimes I've had problems in the past.
Absolutely delicious food. Every time I visit a Rubio's I'm never disappointed. I just wish I had one a bit closer to where I live/work.
Gourmet Shrimp tacos are delicious, from the high quality tortillas to the toasted cheese, nice size shrimp and chipotle sauces. Yummy!!!!
Solid burrito, the salsa cups they gave me to-go were less than half full, why give me two when you could fill one up?The churro was beyond terrible, 80% oil, left a bad taste in my mouth for hours.
Came today and got Terrible customer service a young girl kicked me out cause I wasn't wearing a mask while I was seated to eat. She was very rude about it to. I will not support this business no more after supporting it for over 10 years I suggest you don't support it either!!
Absolutely awesome!! Food always great, especially with my customized orders due to dietary needs. The people, like Trisha, make it the BEST!!
We were looking for something light. This place had an option for cauliflower rice instead of regular rice to cut carbs. I had fish tacos and they were very good.
