The experience was a traditional 50s style diner. There is lots of room for seating they have booths and tables. Clean place but very busy. The food wasn't worth the cost. The cod was over cooked and french fries were super salty. The burgers we had were something I could have out-done at home on a Saturday night. We had a chocolate shake and it was the best thing we had at this place. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Had a cheeseburger with Mel's fries. Started to eat half of burger and began eating some potatoes. Moved potatoes over a little and a black hair was under the potatoes. Notified manager. The brought a box for the other half of burger and hair was connected to it. They re-made a whole new meal for me to take home. Unable to enjoy meal with my friends and the meal I took home I did not eat as it was too late and burger did not look good. Meat was very dense and I could barely cut the meat to give to my dog.And of course there was nothing deducted from my check.Never going there again! This food was not like the original Mel's. I grew up eating at Mel's over 50 years ago in San Francisco. Back then the food tasted like home made. This burger was so dense it made it hard to eat. And the buns were tough like eating a hard rubbery sponge. Never Never Again!
The inside of the restaurant reminded of the sitcom Happy days/50's style theme.....Shakes are excellent as well as the ? fries... onion rings/tasty.you can tell that they take care of their deep fryers/oil change regularly... I was told from my Uncle/ great breakfast.
Near the Outlets and Nut Tree Plaza and the food is very nice. Salads are huge and crispy, the gourmet chicken burger is perfectly yummy, and almost every booth has a mini jukebox; bring plenty of quarters. It's also great for really huge and creamy milkshakes. Check it out!
This location is almost always busy and for good reason...the food is good!So far I've only ordered breakfast but that is what I typically do when they offer it all day.I have not had a bad experience here in my last 5 trips.
I left 10 minutes after being seated. They seated us and then disappeared, no water, no "how are you doing", no nothing. I was afraid if they eventually took my order, it will take an hour to get my food.Two service for restaurants this size is not enough.
Great interiors, fast service and great food. Greaaaat food.Loved the pancakes and the fries.
