I got a gai tod but it didn't look like the picture. I basically called sliced in unseasoned chicken with rich and sliced cucumber for $15. I won't be coming back
Chicken is amazing, Gai Tod is highly recommended. Kids love it too so that’s a winner in my books. Only person here at 11am on a Friday. Nice staff and definitely coming back.
I wish I could give this place more stars. I adore this place. Their menu is so simple and so good. The poached chicken and the fried chicken are stellar. Their rice is on a different level. Also the soup that comes with the meals is crisp and peppery. Highly Recommended!
Tried their breaded chicken meal with chicken rice and it was very good. Orange chicken bowl.was not that flavorful and chicken was over done. Chicken Japanese curry was very good.
The chicken itself was phenomenal.I've had better curry sauce, and the food took a little longer than expected. But once again, the chicken was top notch

Food was good my chicken was a little soggy not as crispy as I thought it was going to be and portion size was small but taste wise the sweet chili wings tasted great and the broth too and i did love the chicken skins
When this place first opened i was so curious if it tasted the same as Rooster & Rice (which is a restaurant that sells gai and rice but they are mostly located in the bay area) man oh man THIS PLACE IS BETTER THAN ROOSTER AND RICE. i have been coming here with my mom after school to get the fried chicken and rice...the chicken is battered so nicely and crispy and the rice...oh my... the rice is so so flavorful!
The food is delicious. I love the menu, its simple. I love the fried chicken skins! I couldn't wait to eat it or I would have taken pictures. I ordered the original and gai yang. The sauce that comes with it is very good, not too sweet. I love the side broth that comes with it...too bad they don't have one opened in Sacramento. I'm definitely coming back if im in the area.
The Chicken Hawkers is located off HWY-80 in Vacaville. We ordered Gai Tod and Gai Yang based on the photos my wife found on their website. My wife tasted both Chicken dish in the car while while still hot. She was very pleasantly surprised how delicious both dishes tasted, these are “10/10!” my wife said excitedly. I phoned them again to tell them how satisfied we were. We will definitely go back there.
