Lunch is $29 per person, which seemed like a very good deal until my son and I noticed most of the sushi rolls contained a crab mix. Neither of us eat mayo or crab in our sushi. We requested an appetizer and were brought the wrong amount, so we ordered another. The appetizers were very good, but the tea tasted like drinking lightly scented water.
Went to the establishment with 3 people and experienced a 25 minute wait. And the wait was well worth it. I'm stuffed! It's a grab and go style all you can eat buffet and you you can request special dishes from the kitchen. The staff is fast, professional, and kind. This is one of my top 5 sushi experiences and I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.ill definitely be back to this establishment when I'm back in the area. Call ahead if you have any questions.
This place was very busy the day that I went with my family. We had to wait about 20 minutes which isn't bad. The food was good. I think they only had one person taking orders for drinks and appetizers so placing an order for drinks took a while. We had to wave her down and then she realized she had not yet come to our table for drink orders. Otherwise, service was good. Asking for specific rolls at the counter was pretty smooth and easy.
This place has really gone down hill. Two visits in the last 3 weeks, both for dinner. First visit, not too long of a wait. Took forever for someone to take drink and appetizer orders once we were seated. We were seated at the bar, the guys making the sushi were rude and short with us when we ordered something and treated us like we were bothering them. Appetizers took more than 20 mins to arrive and only after we inquired about them. We were never able to order additional. No drink refills because despite asking for a refill multiple times they were always forgotten. Figured maybe this was a one off since we normally love this place, so we attempted to go again last night. It was worse. No wait, the place was half empty. Ordered appetizers, they never arrived. Asked multiple times about them, they checked on them multiple times, they finally showed up as I was paying!!! Ordered a green tea, never received a refill because any time I asked they always forgot. People making the sushi were again incredibly rude and I actually felt guilty about ordering anything.I don’t think I will ever come back which is disappointing because I’ve always enjoyed coming here. The service is just a nightmare, they have people working there, they don’t look short handed especially with how empty it was, but it’s not worth paying the price when I can even get drinks or food to eat.
Friends told me about the place and I decided to check them out, here's my opinion :Ambient / Decor:Could not be more casual and customers appear not to care about it. Big room with table toward to the walls and a food counter in the center! That is it! No Frills! It is a ALL YOU CAN EAT buffet restaurant so customers come for the food.Service:Basic! They get your name, seat you, explain the menu (more on food) and that is it. The rest of the interaction resumes to order items not available on the food counter, taking dirty dishes away and paying your bills. I MUST say that whenever I interacted with my server he was very polite and pleased to help.Food:Good and abundant! They are done to satisfy a large crowd and for that they do it good. It's FRESH and made right in front of you. The menu has items that you pick up yourself at the counter and others that you have to order with the server. Either way they are the core of any Sushi restaurant. Soft drinks are available and they also offer couple beers and wine.I must say that the fine delicacy and the exquisite attention to small flavor's detail and appearance of the Japanese cuisine are not to be found.Price:It is a BARGAIN! Simple as that! Conclusion:Looking for a place to eat sushi not spending much and not having higher expectations that is the place. It's a place to have fun and share good times with family and friends.
Fuji sushi is probably the best sushi restaurant in the Fairfield/Vacaville area. They offer an "all-you-can-eat" menu which is a great value, especially if you are hungry. The sashimi, sushi and tempura entrees were all fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.
I didn't enjoy the layout for the buffet. Conveyer belt is lame. Not all food is placed on belt. Let the staff know it's your first time if that's true for you. If you are not eating buffet you still will be charged. The food was just okay for $30 and I felt you had to keep ordering the food you actually wanted rather then it being on the buffet. Would not recommend.
Haven't been here since the Pandemic. Food was still very good. One of the better sushi buffets around. FRI and Weekends... get there at 4:30 to sign in for 5pm opening!
Food is consistent for an all you can eat (AYCE) buffet. Sashimi quality is good enough to expect for an AYCE. Good variety of Japanese dishes. Like their grilled hamachi and salmon collars. Very busy on the weekends and restaurant still has limited seating due to Covid precautions. Have to be willing to wait 90 minutes to be seated if coming after their first seatings of the day. Friendly service.
This is a hybrid sit-down/buffet style restaurant. In the middle there is the usual food prep area with a conveyor belt and seating around the sides. At the front of the sushi bar you can order directly from the sushi chefs.\\nYou can also order other items (like fried items) from the service staff.\\n\\nThe selection is mostly standard sushi items, though the quality is decent. Service is excellent, the staff really hustles and are very attentive.\\nCleanliness is fine, be prepared to wait in line because this is an extremely popular place for the locals. Or you can ride the Nut Tree train while you are waiting.\\n\\nHighly recommended.
