Yeah they say the breakfast burritos are awesome. But only if they don’t come with extra egg shell. I showed them and they didn’t bother doing anything about it won’t ever go there again

This place is good, simple Mexican food. Nothing fancy, but it's tasty. I work nearby so it's a good walk-up spot when I get a taco craving.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day I'm told, and I'm a believer. I have passed by this location everyday for decades and I've never stopped in till recently. It's a humble location nestled between 2 gas stations and a cluster of beautiful giant agave plants. They have a sausage and/or bacon breakfast burrito that includes potato, cheese, and egg.At OTHER restaurants a breakfast burrito is mostly potato and cheese and as an afterthought there is egg and a sprinkling of meat in there.At Taqueria Los Magueyes the burrito is wonderfully balanced. The potatoes are cut into cubes and soft, the cheese is melted, and the egg is cooked to perfection. Perhaps the best thing about the burrito is the meat. The sausage isn't that crumbly mess you get as a pizza topping but actual savory sausage links cut into bite size pieces and the bacon is still tender. And there is meat in EVERY bite. I love the salsa roja that they offer with the food. It has the earthy smoky flavor of a homemade slasa where you can actually enjoy the flavor of the chile itself.Needless to say I have been back for breakfast a dozen or so times in the last couple of months and have yet to be disappointed.
