Breakfast was ok,nothing special.I order combo eggs with hashbrown,Although hashbrown was really good , toast is cripsy. Turkey sausage is ok-ok Cocunut pie is just a whipped cream, No taste at all.
Normally we like eating here, usually good service except for one time, we had walked out out because the service was horrible but gave it another chance. The food is good and nice environment. I decided to try the chicken breast with Ortega chili with a bed of rice and baked potato, bad idea, I should've stuck with the steak or even hamburgers, which are good. The chicken breast looked more like a chicken thigh, it was small for what I ordered and the chilli sucked too, the meal was just over $20 the steak was cheaper by a dollar. Very disappointed. So don't order anything chicken, they are small for the amount you pay for.
I called in my order. I ordered 2 meals. One was for my dinner that night & the other was for the next day. I like Corky's food & had been to the Upland location several times. I wanted to try something different than what I had eaten in the past. I ordered the Open Faced Turkey Sandwich to eat that evening. The meal had grill toasted bread on the bottom, a hearty portion of thick cut turkey breast covered w/gravy, mashed potatoes & gravy, & the option of cranberry sauce on the side. One thing about the cranberry sauce, it's the congealed kind from a can, which I happen like. For dessert, I had a generous slice of Original Cheesecake w/the Strawberry Sauce on the side. All was delicious. My 2nd meal was a 6 piece order of just Chicken Tenders which are decent size w/a side of ranch & a slice of Cherry Pie. & yes, I did wait until the next day to eat them! Also quite good, but I think eating the Chicken Tenders the next day made them a bit dry. Anyway, everything was good.
My husband and I went her about a week ago! There weren’t busy. We were seated given menu’s.The waitress took our order. It took a bit to get out food. My husband ordered breakfast they forgot his toast, asked twice waitress blamed it on another waiter not bringing it out. They never refilled drinks! We were placing an order to go asked for a menu twice, finally got up and got a menu. Another waitress took our order our waitress wasn’t around. Finally got our togo order. Seems very slow and waiters flip from table to table! Food was good.
Wonderful experience! It took a couple minutes to be seated, but once we were sat, the waitress had such a wonderful personality, very friendly with a smile. You may say that's her job, but while eating my dinner I looked around a realized she was the only waitress, then I realized she's also the hostess, busser, and cashier. Never once were our drinks empty, and our food came out at a good timing. I ordered the loaded nachos that were so good, my husband ordered the santa fe burger with steak fries, and my daughter had the chicken strips from the kids menu... and those chicken strips were sooo good. They had the homemade look and taste. Very nice experience, especially because going out service has been subpar.
Besides the long wait for delicious food, I would recommend this place. Especially if you get the burgers, make sure you ask them to load up your fries. You won't regret it. Food is great!!
Thus is a standard fare diner. Anything you want basically they have even pies. The waiters and waitresses are extremely pleasant and efficient.
GREAT waitress, sweet as could be, Maggie, great food, love their pot pie, 1 is enough for 2-3 people. Had their turkey dinner tonight, great too!!
We drive from Monterey Park to Montclair/ Upland (about 24 miles) when we want a great cup of coffee and an amazing meal that feels home cooked!! Portions are GENEROUS, breakfast all hours. They have Pies, Cheesecake, Muffins and Cookies that will keep you coming back for MORE on their own!! The staff always comes through with a smile, fast and most importantly friendly service. You'll feel like family by the time you leave. ** try the Breakfast Quesadilla, we add Chorizo, it's YUMMY!! Enough for two!!
I would wait for hours for my son to bring me one.of there burgers with the fresh fried onions things. The best. But this was before the pandemic. Went inside for dinner, there was like 2 girls working, they did there best. I had a senior burger with a salad, there ranch dressing is really good. The chicken is fried steak gotta try. Yum! Pies look great !
