Beautifully remodeled store! Everything you could ask for when cooking Italian! Pizza, pasta, sliced meats, fresh bakery, and to top it off- a friendly staff!
I was introduced here over 4 and a half years ago. Sandwich menu is so vast there is a need to try each one at least once or twice then again definitely more. They have a variety of pastries that are worthwhile good eats. A massive variety of meats and cheese to pick and choose from to make your own slice of life whatever that may be. There's so much in this place that I would need to almost write a dissertation to be able to describe most items in this place.
I like this Italian market, good quality food both market and deli but I didn't like the service. I was the only one at the deli counter 4 employee were cleaning and not one acknowledged me. I had to speak up.When I asked one of them a question of what two sandwiches he recommended and he said chicken salad but then looked at one of the other guy's and kind of gave a smirk as if they knew something.I order the chicken salad sandwich but left there feeling something was not right.Maybe it was just me.
The best Italian Deli in Upland,Ca. They have all kinds of deli meats and cheeses from all over the country. They also make deli sandwiches. The customer service experience is wonderful!
The deli has great food.. Great frozen preprepared lasagna, baked ziti etc. Delicious pastries.Convenient pick up for easy entertaining. Love it.
The best deli in the county. Staff is friendly and helpful. Selection is massive. Sandwiches are great!
Claro's for Christmas, that's what I am saying! A specialty grocer who knows what fine food is about!
Yum. That's all you really need to know.If we get sandwiches we usually order the Great Grandpa Joe or a sandwich ring. We also like to get a whole lasagne. We like it with more sauce than what it comes with so we get an extra container of it. It's a pricey, but worth it, add on. One thing I'm not a fan of is the garlic bread. It's pricey and there's not enough of it for the price so we don't get it unless it comes free with something. At one time you would get a free one with the purchase of the larger lasagne but they stopped doing that for some reason.This place gets really busy around lunch time so I highly recommend ordering ahead of time. It's also fun to shop around in here if you are waiting for your turn at the deli. Pick up some Italian sodas or some good pasta and canned tomato products. The frozen desserts aren't bad either!Of course we also partake of the many goodies in the bakery area. The rugelach cookies are really good as are the cannolis and many other things. I honestly don't think you can go wrong here.
The sandwiches are amazing and we grab pizza dough, sauce, and cheese to make pizzas at home, all the time! My only issue is the way the guys behind the deli counter act....Most of them are fine, but it is always awkward ordering if you aren't 100% confident in what you want to get. It is just their personalities, I guess. Once I heard an employee getting frustrated with a lady ordering a sandwich with ham in it because she wasn't sure what kind of ham to get.If you are confused or have a question about something, be cautious, because they might treat you like you are supposed to be an expert on Italian meats.Overall, great place for authentic Italian groceries/supplies and sandwiches! Just not a fan of the macho Italian attitude.
