Food was good Didn't have coffee
We had a 10:15 reservation party of 8. We drove from Santa Cruz to Union City. We decided to spot to have a special Birthday Dinner for my 12 year old. Greatly disappointed. Juan G. Is the reason they got a star. He was great and tried to help. Our veggies werenât even cooked. The fajitas werenât even steaming like they normally are. The meat was medium rare. We did not request it. We were sort of left there while the employees were trying to leave for the day. If we would have been tended to we wouldnât of lasted as long as we did, there was no Bday celebration and that was disappointing too. The manager seemed to be avoiding us. She should go through one door and out the other after my husband spoke up. Yes, a discount was given but customer service and acknowledgment should have been hand in hand. Itâs a shame. We really like it there. Not the bday dinner we expected.

First time to Chevys and it was a pleasant treat for our family. Restaurant is spacious, clean and well maintained. Went on weekday, not crowded and immediately received a table. Chips were crunchy and with tasty salsa. Food was delicious and it was enough to satisfy our hunger. Excellent service and attentive. Will visit again and recommend others…
Carne asada steak was cooked to perfection and had far better flavor and quality than steak house next door. Cannot rave enough about the service; Alfredo was on top of every thing we asked for! The mixed drinks (highly recommend Black Diamond margarita and Paloma) are amazing. Chicken fajitas had perfect char and excellent flavor, shrimp cooked amazing, fajita veggies still had crunch, but had definite flavor and char. We chose to drive 15 miles out of our way and we will definitely be back!!!
food and service was good. Didnât like having to close out tab in bar before going to our table. Biggest disappointment was putting in my reservation this was a birthday event and no one acknowledged it.
I came to dine for Father's Day with my dad, and I was surprised that Chevy's was not full at noon, since every Father's Day, people go out and eat throughout the day. The waitress was friendly and welcoming. I had the barbacoa tacos, and it tastes good. My father had the shrimp fajitas, and he enjoyed it.

Love this Chevy's, its clean and the service was excellent. My plate came out in about 7-8 minutes after ordering. We came in on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm.I had the 2 item combo of cheese enchilada and the pork tamale which were both really tasty. I think they use a mole sauce for both that wasnt spicy.The refried beans were good too but they tasted almost like chili for some reason. I think the flautas are my fav there and i'll definitely be back.
The waitstaff was poor, they did not celebrate my daughter's birthday as requested. They did not bring tortillas with 3/4 fajitas meals that were ordered. We had to ask more than once for tortillas. Our drinks were not refilled. We drove from South San Jose and will not be back.
