Had a lunch buffet with colleagues from office. Total take out is " Buffet is not worth the price".From how the place used to be,1) the number of options we had2) the quality of food, two years ago to what we had yesterday the place is not going in the right direction. The food is some days salty, some days okay. Recently in the meat varieties I see more fat/oil to make us feel full after one plate.Best piece of advice " stay away from chicken, try other meats".

Overall the experience was kind of OK. Firstly the chair were worn out at many places, which definitely needs repair.I liked their Indo-Chinese food more than the Indian food. Hot and Sour soup was really good along with the chicken noodle. The chicken korma was nice but Butter chicken was much sweet to me. Their naan was really soft and of good quality. I definitely had better biriyani elsewhere. Curd in the Raita was not fresh at all and I complained about it. The idly vada vombo was not at all value of money. There definitely could be more quantity for same price.Good for family eat out. Location and parking was convenient.

We only got 4 items from their menu here - because if an Indian Restaurant does these items right, then pretty much everything else is golden.Aloo ParathaPros: Large & Looks edibleCons: Texture of the paratha itself, almost no potato which wouldn’t make a difference, bc it didn’t taste edible without or without. The dough itself was really off.Mango Lassi: I’ve noticed a few Indian restaurants these days making it like India Gate which is by using some artificially flavored and colored mango powder with milk - and who knows if it’s even milk. Traditional mango lassi is pretty simple, take a mango, yogurt, sugar or honey, and milk & blend it. Pro for this one: Tastes sweet Cons: It’s not actual mango lassi so we didn’t drink it.Sweet chicken and corn soup: Basically a corn chowder - pros: taste like a chowder…cons: from a canGulab jamun: Now, I can’t eat these from anywhere typically even if it’s bad. When ordered, it comes in 3. Pros: It wasn’t overly sweet and the texture was mostly soft Cons: It didn’t taste right, couldn’t have been made fresh that day, and in the one I barely ate, there was a hard dough piece inside, like it had been reheated in the microwave and one part got overdone. Ugh.We are still looking for a top notch Indian Restaurant in the area. Let us know if you find one and we will do the same.

Went to dine in for lunch buffet here with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. It was a good experience, they had several menu items and a reasonable price (just over $20 per person including a tip for the great service)

I loved the food & service.Very first time I went when it was opened,I didn’t feel to go back again, but Now, management has changed or whatever, I tried their food 3 times recently & taste is so good, all my guest loved it, & were asking for name of restaurant. Each item was perfectly made. I can’t specifically say the name of item that was better than other item. I am very satisfied with their service. They are very welcoming & flexible.OM has given service, make us feel very comfortable & now we like to go again & again. All Staff are very nice & helpful to put food in my car. I highly recommend this restaurant to all!

Pathetic customer service, they argue with the customer over complaints. Servers have no I formation over quantity, absolutely ripping off on the quantity for the price being charged. No utensils for take away, and absolutely zero customer service. First and the last time I visited this place. Avoid going there, if you earn money the hard way.

I ordered food for 30 for a office Diwali party today at a very decent price. Menu:Pakora, Garlic + Plain Naan, Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, Paneer Makhni and Mango PuddingOurs was a mixed group with people from all over the world. And everyone simply loved the food and asked for the restaurant it was from. Also everyone at the restaurant was super helpful and polite. Thanks India Gate. Would recommend this restaurant to every Indian food lover in OC

Nice buffet eventhough its little priceir side but the thing is it says all you can eat but they will bring your bill if you go second time to get food, you don’t get to serve yousef which i understand bcz of covid and the guy there serve very small scoops and give u strange look if u ask another scoop lol. I stoped going there after that and recently there is another indian restautent in irvine that started buffet i’ve been there its way better

I am surprised that this restaurant has a rating over 4 on google. I ordered takeout on phone and discovered that not only the food was poor in taste but it was also priced very unfairly. Typically, doordash pricing for takeout or deliver is inflated 30-40 percent relative to real price offered by the restaurant. However, that’s not true for this place, they charge the same inflated prices across the board. The kadhai paneer that I ordered was oily and watered down with no taste. The garlic naan was not buttered. Masala dosa was full of salt and soggy. Please save yourself and go elsewhere for Indian food.

Decent Indian food. They still have a lunch buffet but they serve you instead of you serving yourself. Not sure it's worth the $15.95 price though
