Y'know, I really wanted to love Hopdoddy, but frankly the burgers are very mediocre. The burgers sound amazing on the menu, but there's just something really lacking. They're strangely flavorless and not filling. I feel like Hopdoddy thinks if they look and act like a high end burger place, they are, but I'm not impressed so far. There are so many places I'd go instead because they're delivering on the culinary experience that's being sold. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the service is decent and they have gluten free buns which have been the best part of the burger both times I've gone. Yes, the fries are good, but nothing special. Anyways...sorry Hopdoddy, just being honest.
Today I tried the El Bandito veggie burger and got I Vegan style. A lady friend is Vegan and I wanted to see if she would like it. The burger was very good along with the fries. I think she would like it. The bacon cheese burger that I've had in previous visits is also very good. This is the place to come for a good burger.
Great happy hour (Hoppy Hour) from 3-6 Monday- Friday. $5 drinks, draft beers, house fries, and pretzel bites with beer cheese sauce. See my full review on Instagram at Soith Orange County Eats (@soceats).
This is by far one of the best places to enjoy an amazing burger! Fresh ingredients and mouth watering. This is definitely a gourmet burger. Love the fries too :)
Customer service is always a huge plus THANK YOU TO CURTIS. I was having a rough day and coming into this place Curtis provided outstanding customer service and really made me smile. Everything is so delicious. I recommend trying this place. Be sure to ask for Curtis he will definitely make you smile. As a military service member Curtis really made me feel welcomed.
A go to for us for a last minute dinner decision. Solid burgers (nice buns) and they usually have several good beers on draft—frozen chalice style. I can usually get a respectable local/regional IPA from here and there’s always multiple other non-IPA options. Milkshakes are solid too.
Nice wine bar with decent food. The staff is good about recommending wine. Excellent date place or if you wanna catch up with some friends. The vibe is really cool and the crowd seems to be friendly. It reminds me of an NYC joint. I love Silverlake.
The burgers are just great. The child really liked it.
Went here for the first time and the burger did not disappoint. I had the Llano Poblano burger and it was juicy and flavorful. The bacon was thick and complimented the beef and seared poblanos well. The bun was perfectly toasted and the chipotle aioli sauce blended well with my taste pallets. I paired my burger with a bottle of Shiner Bock and ordered some fries with green Chile quest dip. I with the fries were a bit crispier. I found them a little soggy but the delicious dip made up for it.
Super Yummy!! Just like I remembered when I first tried Hopdoddy in Denver a few years ago.AMBIENCE:The inside is cool and trendy with open spaces and a bar in the center. There was cool lighting and good music playing throughout.SERVICE: We received a super friendly greeting and they helped us navigate the menu. Never underestimate the value of putting the right person as the first person you meet.FOOD: So I hyped this place up to my kids over the last couple years and boy did they deliver! (Well not actually deliver, because we were eating there - LOL) My boys and I first had a beer to “cleanse the palette” (good selection). And when our burgers came, they were fabulous! I had the Goodnight/Good cause burger and I would highly recommend (but beware, jalepeños…I took them off because I’m a wimp).CLEANLINESS: All was clean and not too crowded. The restroom could have used a little attention, but quickly forgot about that issue when the food came. (I guess I remembered it again cause you should have neat & clean restrooms, especially at a food place)If you get an opportunity to try Hopdoddy…just do it. We drove an hour and 15 minutes to eat here, and we’ll be coming back!
