Eating here felt like we were transported to Japan. The decor and ambience felt like I was in one of those small restaurants in Osaka or Tokyo. The food is Okinawan style, enjoyed the ramen and sweet potato chips :)

A hidden gem of Tustin that I wouldn't have known about until my friend who lived nearby brought me here. We were lucky to get a last minute reservation here because it's such a small restaurant and without one, they will not let you come in and sit. We were both able to sit at the bar facing the kitchen and all decorations inside gave the place such a lively vibe to it, you'll have a great time. My friend was able to speak to the servers in Japanese and we all had a great time conversing with one another. I on the other hand spoke my mediocre Japanese from what I remembered when studying but overall did okay, I hope.I do recommend ordering their extra cold Orion beer. It went down so smooth and cod that I was able to drink three glasses of it! I typically cannot finish a glass of beer but for some reason, I was able to down 3 glasses here. Not sure if the temperature made a difference but I sure as hell loved it. Food is unique too since it's meant to represent dishes from Okinawa and not mainland Japan. The ramen here is called udon instead so that might throw you off. Other than that, the food is delicious and worth trying. Just make sure you make a reservation ahead of time so you know you have a table secured. At the end of your meal, one of the ladies will ask you to write one of the fortunes for them to hang on the ceiling, which I thought was cool. You'll be able to read some of them and not all are in Japanese. My friend and I both ended up writing in Japanese but I forgot what we wrote. In the end, you'll enjoy the vibe here and maybe you'll get to chit chat with people next to you because they're all friendly and welcoming here, which I expect from all Japanese.

Great spot! The wagyu beef bowl was good, and same with the unagidon. The karaage was decent but I'd probably want to try out something else next time.

This is a fantastic Okinawa restaurant, serving most of the typical Okinawa cuisines as well as more innovative, twisted dish of Okinawa fashion, which is actually rare to find even in Tokyo.Atmosphere is small and cozy, staffs are kind and tell you what you should try depends on your liking. Also one of the rare places in US where Orion Draft (beer from Okinawa) is served from the barrel into frozen glass! Nice! Also you can try most of all kinds of Imuraya deserts such as Yawamochi or Ultra soft Daifuku.I really want this restaurant in my neighborhood.

I loved this place the last time I was visiting, because I had not had okinawan food since leaving the island. I was really looking forward to having oki food again. Unfortunately when we showed up 2 hours before closing, the server told us that everyone was drinking pretty heavily and she didn't expect anyone to leave. We were then told to call next time even though it says no reservations on the website and Google info. We were only in town for the day and had to leave the next morning so it was pretty disappointing that they wouldn't even ask to see if anyone was going to leave or at least offer a to go option.

Who knew? Japanese dive taco shops exist!I'm a big Ramen fan and try to scout out new places wherever I go. Habuya is a tiny ramen/sushi/Japanese shop in what seems to be a kinda sketchy part of town, but it's absolutely worth it. The smoky Shoyu Ramen is only $12.50 and was very tasty. Others around me were enjoying sushi. I'll be back to try more from their varied menu.

Amazing Japanese food is found here.My wife and I moved from Japan and were looking for a place to kill our craving for Okinawan food.We were so happy to see all of the favorites on the menu. We ordered Orion beer, Okinawa soba, karage, and muzuku. It was all really delicious. I was so excited to have Okinawa soba again since I couldn’t find it since I moved back to America. We will definitely be coming back. It was crowded, but the staff was so polite and attentive. I highly recommend this place!

I had a great and amazing time here and had a chance to meet some great and amazing people that are friends with my wife. Food was amazing and the beer was awesome (I love Sapporo lol). We were here pretty much until closing and the waitress was very respectful and courteous. I would definitely come back here if I'm looking for a great bite in the O.C..

My first time eating Japanese food there. I’m going there again to get that flavor spam and ramen.

What a great find for home-cooked like food. You will find stewed pork trotters and other strews with dishes not found in normal Japanese restaurants. They have the usuals, of course but I come here for the unusual. For my first time, I ordered the Ikura, uni and salmon over rice entree. Turns out the Ikura was barely a tablespoonful; only two small uni and dried shredded salmon. Not a lot of food for $28. My side dish of pig’s trotters were wonderful, melt-in -your mouth delish skin and tendon for under $6; something I will be coming back for every week!! Can’t wait to try their other home-cooked food.
