We arrived on a weeknight - about 30 minutes before last call service. All the servers were super attentive, quick, and friendly! We ordered the usual beef and pork cuts, and they were extra fresh (and loaded)! The spicy pork belly orders were particularly flavorful. They took care of our food and drinks up until closing, which we appreciated. Something minor: The front could use some organization and direction as there was a group of us in line, unsure of the check in / table request process. Overall, great experience and service!
It costs 26.99 per person, 10$ per kid. If a kid is above a certain height they will charge full adult price. Host and manager could be nicer, and on the other hand our server, the tall Filipino guy, was excellent and a good listener and tended to customers very well. Cleanliness could be better as far as the furniture, floors, decorations, bathrooms, and walls. Food was good and quick upon showing up at opening hours. Not too smoky inside from what I recall. Some Korean sides will have to be asked by request due to low supply in some foods.
Checked in at the front desk and the hostess said the waiting time is 40 minutes. We ended up waiting for an hour. Hostesses need training in customer service. They need to be more pleasant when speaking with the customers. The only positive thing about our experience at Gen bbq is our waiter Mark. He greeted us with a big smile and apologize for the wait. He was attentive and got our order quickly which was nice because we were hungry.
Very good food and decent service considering how busy it was. The wait time was over an hour, but we were surprised when we got called within 20 minutes. We did have a larger party, so I assume that's why. Maybe the tables that hold bigger groups open up faster? Either way, if you decide to go either, add yourself to the wait list via Yelp. If you go there to add to the wait list, be ready to wait an hour or more.

This location should consider investing in a better wait list system or maybe management who doesn’t instruct their host to prioritize bigger parties. Tried to get dinner for 2 last night. Gets put on list by @ 6:30 with a “45min wait”. Check back in with host at 8 only to be told “yeah it looks like your wait was more around 1hr-1.5hrs” so we’ll send you a text when it’s time for you. Hmmmm I don’t like doing time math but I still think I was checking in at an appropriate time even with an extended wait. Anyways it’s now next day and I’m still waiting for that text ?
The service was great!! As with any Korean cook- your-own barbecue restaurant, I loved it! After all, I'm not gonna downplay my own cooking skills. Lol. I only suggest to add a few more sauces and condiments. Thanks for a great experience.
Wait listed, checked in on time and waited 45 minutes in the rain to never be seated. The host was extremely unorganized and let groups go in when they were far back in line. For instance a group of 6 did not show up to their waitlist, and instead of using those tables to seat 3 tables for 2 people each, she instead let a group of 6 go in that were far back in the wait list line. Lastly they were stopping all food orders at 9:30, and there were still 7 groups of people waiting for a table outside, meaning we would be charged the full amount for 30 mins or less of eating. A complete mess, and this wasn't the only time I've seen this terrible organization when it comes to seating guests

Horrible place to go. Save your money people they told me and my family we only have 90 minutes to eat. They took forever to give us our food and then the waiter tells me you're done and its your last call for any meat.I'm not bringing you no more meat now he's telling me that I can eat no more that's crazy never going back there again. I thought it was all you could eat. Not only do they being small meat portions for 6 people. They also rush you and the waiter takes forever to take your order. I spend over $200 on this horrible service.
