This place is great! I used to come in regularly after getting a haircut down the block. I moved away, but visited recently and this was one of the things that I wanted to try again. I had the chilaquiles and a dirty horchata. It’s just as good as I remember it. The people are kind and friendly, and the food is delicious!

This was my response to a post on the app Neighborhood , someone else had a terrible experience and I shared mine with them. This is what I wrote :.I thought it was just me and my bf who felt this way. I’ve actually brought this up to my family before too, who frequently go there but my mom said that that was just the owners face, that he had “resting b face” ? The day I took my boyfriend to eat there, I was excited to take him there (although every time we went to eat there the owner was never friendly). I noticed how rude and brief his conversation was with the Mexican family he was helping, and was almost shocked at how he changed his whole look and even tone of voice when he started helping out the white customers after them. I remember my boyfriend and I just looking at each other but not saying anything. Eventually it was our turn to order, and he turned back to his low, solemn voice and was also short with us. I remember tipping him $5 and how much I regretted it. I even brought this up to my boyfriend after we left and we were sitting in the car. It felt wrong to had tipped someone for their terrible service and mediocre Mexican food. After that day, we decided to never give them our patronage. I’m sorry y’all went through this. I brought up my own personal experience to my best friend who is white, grew up in old town Tustin , & who’s family frequently ate at El Camino , and he said he had also noticed this kind of behavior. I almost feel wrong writing this, but I also remember making a joke when we first arrived and were waiting in line saying “Dang he segregated all the Latinos from the whites.” On the side walk it was all white folk and on the other side they were all Latinos. After this experience though, I am reassured that it was no joke.

My family and I have loved eating here for awhile now so it's unfortunate that the bad customer service is the reason we will never be returning here again. They have a store policy that outside food/drinks aren't allowed which is completely fine, all restaurants have their own policies for whatever their reasons may be. I was unaware of this prior to coming and did have a drink. A worker politely let us know outside and it didn't become a problem until we had entered the restaurant to order and were met with the rude male owner in the front who proceeded to make a snarky comment about us to one of the workers right in front of us. As someone who has eaten traditional Mexican food all my life, the food isn't anything special and certainly doesn't trump the rude customer service.

We give 1 star for the mimosa and Michelada and one star for Presentation. The El Camino omelette was not special, the fries were overcooked and the potato taquitos were extremely burnt with no flavor and the rice was not quite done. Not worth wait in line and the pressure to know what we are going to order once you were allowed to walk in to order, the $50.00 we spent could of been better spent at a more authentic Mexican food establishment.

So goooood! My bf and I come here all the time for their enchiladas and wet burritos. ? ? Their grilled chicken is delicious, i always think about it anytime I get chilaquiles elsewhere. Their staff and service is quick, efficient, and very friendly.

This spot is my boyfriends' favorite hands down for chilequiles, he's tried so many other places but nothing else compares. Now he's turned me into a fan! Portions are more than fair (bring your appetite), flavor is on point, staff is friendly, and food is prepared quickly and presented hot. A bit pricey overall, but also feels great supporting small buisness. Will be returning again and again.

El Camino Cafe Best Breakfast spot Ever worth the Drive from Arizona! Freshly squeezed orange juice best Dirty Horchata fast service and it couldn’t be runned by a better owner

First time coming and OMG...the chilaquiles verdes were incredible, and I'm so glad I ordered the dirty horchata. Everything tasted great and the food came out super quick. Definitely going to come back.

Rudness trumps good food sorry not giving you my hard earned cash..This family has every right to run their business how they want but the entitled attitude with a bit of arsenic because they know they have a nice place with good food is something I personally won't pay in to. No humble pie sold here.

This restaurant was a great spot to have brunch and if you're looking for a warm cup of coffee with steamed milk. They have a wonderful selection of food to choose from their menu and the service was top tier. I will definitely recommend this location to my friends and family.
