I just ate there with my wife and daughter. The food was very good, the atmosphere was nice and the service was top shelf. There were many authentic menu choices and our selections were absolutely perfect. I have lived in Tustin for 20 years and this was one of the best restaurants I have been to locally.
Oh my! The pasta here is amazinggggg!! I was craving good pasta, and this place didn’t disappoint at all.We started with the delicious Antipasto. I had an Italian mule, which was very refreshing, I also had the Italian martini, but I felt it had a strong herb taste, which I didn’t like. For entrees, we had the Cacio E Pepe, which is white pasta. It was amazing! And we had the Vongole, which is pasta with fresh clams. For a side, we got an order of Poloette di Carne, which is four meatballs, and they were to die for!!I also had an Affogato which was really really good!!I’ll for sure will be back.
Enough good things cannot be said about this place and the people who run it. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the food is to die for! Very authentic Italian food and drinks. If you're looking for a culinary escape to Italy come to Storico and Centro! You will not be disappointed!
Overall 3½ - 4 stars.Freshly made pasta - Caccio e pepe was light and good but the side of chicken for $6 was very dry (minus a star). I should have tried their aglio olio instead.Calamari was ok but the aioli was very disappointing - it was made to order fr scratch in traditional way but it didn't have the intense flavor that garlic produces - it was so bland (minus a star). Focaccia bread was ok, ditto the service.
This is a must try! Delicious food great ambiance!
My favorite go-to Italian place. Pasta melts in your mouth. Grilled chicken is a little smokey tasting. Meatballs very pork tasting. would love some plain Italian bread to dip in my sauce. Had the Penne w/Vodka sauce. Delicious. Owner Daniella is always walking around with a smile.
Taco Bell of Italian food. The best part about our visit was the server (Sunny??) We started out with wine and bread. The wine tasted dated but not in a good way. Bread was ok. I was excited about the caeser salad because I love me a good salad with anchovies but the sauce was bland and they used the worst romaine lettuce leaves you could find. I thought they had given me kale instead. I do have to say that I like the more tender leaves. Vodka sauce had little seasoning, chunky onions (I am not a fan of but other may be) and the chicken was grilled and smelled smoky/burnt and was slightly tough. I wouldn't have minded the chicken cooked this way on a sandwich or with ribs but I came to an Italian restaurant not a BBQ restaurant. I will say the pasta itself was delightful. On another note, do not take people here if they are slightly hard of hearing. There aren't walls or booths so everything is very loud.Lastly, their tables are very close to each other and I was being poked by a plant and the woman's purse behind me. I wanted to love this place but it just didn't hit the mark.
There were no wait when we arrive to have our late lunch. We were seated immediately by the host. I shared my lunch carbornara spaghetti full portion with my firstborn. My husband ordered the ragu di Carne fettuccine and just a penne burro for my youngest one. Overall the taste is good for lunch.
We like this Old Town Tustin gem. Great “small town” vibe for us with solid choices of homemade pasta. We always get the meat plate for our secondi. So glad this restaurant is in our town.
Really good pasta - my favourites are the arrabiata, the vodka, and the pesto - and fantastic Tiramisu (best that I've had in OC)! The ambience is also super nice with indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a gelato sampler that's a great way to try out a bunch of flavours at one go.Have also catered from here for a 25 person event and the portions were very generous - everyone loved the food! Would highly recommend.
