Had a really good and authentic meal at the restaurant, it certainly reminded me of trips to Malaysia.Would have been a 5 star visit, but did feel the prices were a touch on the higher side.
I love Malaysian food and have been wanting to come here for awhile. During our visit only half the restaurant was open to guests. They had a nice flow of people coming and going. We were fortunate to not have to wait. Service was great and so was the food. We ordered the… Nasi Lemak - better here than most places I’ve tried. Their spicy sambal is really the star. Elevates the dish. We asked for extra on the side and added it to everything. Char Kway Teow- big portion, nicely flavored, and noodles were cooked perfectly chewy. Curry Laksa - also big portion. Noodles were a little soft for my preference and the broth was slightly bland. Looked jammed packed with flavor but was on the milder side. Roti - delicious! Half Hainan Chicken - moist and soft three sauces. We were full off everything else so we took this home.

We wanted to try Zov's Bistro and found this restaurant next to it and packed of people. I smelled all the delicious food and was surprised that yelp never recommended this restaurant in Tustin. We ended up changing our mind to give it a try since I have never tried Malaysia cuisine and love trying something new.We ordered calamari, crab rangoon, and a cup of hot and sour soup as appetizers. It was the best fried calamari we ever had, super flavorful and crispy good quality calamari. It was not over breaded or double fried like a lot of fried calamari from other restaurants. Also the best fresh hot and sour soup I have ever had, the peppers the egg and the vinegar just exactly the right portion. The rangoons were basic with fake crab, but a good portion at a great price. For entrees, we ordered Beef Rendang and the seafood clay pot curry with coconut rice & chiken rice. You can choose normal steam rice, brown rice, coconut rice and chicken rice. OMG, the coconut rice is like a dessert, smell delicious and it is such a great taste. Seafood clay pot is sooooooo good with fish, scallop, tofu, bunch of veggies and eggplant all in a spicy and savory broth. The beef rendang is soft, flavorful, and great quality. The curry spices used perfectly complimented the meat without overpowering it.It you want to try extremely good Malaysia food!! Definitely give this place a try.
Awesome food. Must try.I was really craving some authentic Malaysian food and this is the closest one to San Diego.I drove an hour to try the food and this is something that I plan to do regularly in future.Murtabak is good, very meaty. The specialty drinks are must try like Rambutan ice, Lychee ice or the Teh Tarik.Daging Kecap Manis was too good. I am sure all the menu is good. Everything we tried were delicious. The place gets busy, very busy. Book ahead of time.
Have always loved their food and due to Covid, I haven't been here in almost a year or more but because I had to treat a friend for lunch, we decided to come here. And as expected, the food is superb. If you like Asian food, good Malaysian food ... this is a place to go.
The foods can be enjoyed by most of the nations, it serves politely by the restaurant's staffs. Owner of the restaurant, Mr.Kent is a main Chef and friendly guy. The taste is good, balance, not too spicy but for Anerican needs to check. Pay a visit and get a try... White Chicken, Satay, Teh Tarik, Nadi Lemak, Fried Rice with Egg must try..
My husband lived in Malaysia for 2 years. He struggles to find the foods that he loved when he lived there. This place took him right back to Malaysia! Amazing food! We don’t live near by but will definitely be traveling here more. Worth the drive for sure!
This is a good place to try southeastern Asia food. Of course it cannot compare to Hawker center in Singapore, but it is okay enough. Service is great. All the waiters is very helpful. I would recommend chicken satay and Gado Gado. Price is decent too.
Best Hainan Chicken I have tasted in a while. Other good dishes included Chicken Wings, Fish Fillet with Chili Sauce, and Daging Kecap Manis.House vegetable delight was blend. Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Char Kway Teow were just ok. The Roti Canai appeared to be from a store bought frozen package, quite disappointing.
