bb.q Chicken - Tustin is by far my favorite location I've tried so far! It was the first location actually (I tried a second location that was a bit lacking). I was craving Korean fried chicken and happened to see someone on my fb recommend bb.q chicken. Honestly the pictures alone sold me. Tustin happened to be the closest location to where I was at the time that my bf and I decided to stop by.Their actual spot is quite small, I think there were only 3 tables inside for customers and a table outside in case you want to enjoy your food in the warm SoCal sun. The woman working the front was friendly, I believe she may have been the owner? We did take a little bit of time going over the menu before ordering because they have so many options. This is definitely a place you have to keep coming back to in order to work your way through the menu.Our first time visiting we ordered the following: Secret Spicy boneless chicken, Honey Garlic boneless chicken, Kimchi Fried Rice, Cheese Sticks, Sweet Potato Fries and an extra side of radishes. Honestly everything was delicious! The pieces of chicken they give you are HUGE so it's definitely enough for a few people to share. Personally I preferred the Honey garlic flavor to the Secret Spicy - just a warning I think the secret is cinnamon. A bit of a peculiar flavor to taste in chicken. Wasn't really to my liking but it wasn't terrible either. The cheese sticks and sweet potato fries were nice sides to have as well. But for me the main star of sides was hands down the kimchi fried rice. You absolutely HAVE to get this with your chicken - its the perfect pairing. That and the radishes are a nice palette cleanser and offer a tasty crunch to the meal!The food all came out within a reasonable amount of time. I could tell it was all fresh from the kitchen. And the service was great! The woman that took our order up front was awesome. I'll definitely be coming back to this specific location to try more of their flavors!
Don’t let the outside fool you… it may look small but the food and service makes you come back for more. The food is always hot and fresh. The staff is very friendly and on top of their game.Me and my girlfriend always get 2 different kind of flavors of wings every time we come, just to see what’s the best flavor and so far it’s come down to Spicy Galbi and Gangnam. Kimchi fried rice is a must, coleslaw and pickled radish are paired well with your spicy flavors.We’ll be back bb.q chicken!!
If you close at nine o'clock. Please don't show the time as ten. My wife pulls the order through the takeaway platform at 8:50pm-9:00pm. I arrive at about 9:10pm and the magic happens. The lady at the front desk told me there was no such order. After I said I asked my wife to contact customer service. After that, the lady kept hiding in the kitchen and didn't come out. She didn't come out. My wife and the platform's customer service called non-stop for 10 minutes. She has been hiding inside and can't come out. Does this store close at 9:00? Does the boss need to pay wages from 9:00-10:00pm? if! Please update your business hours! First time seeing a restaurant where employees don't take orders and don't answer the phone in order to avoid work! This is simply a miracle in a restaurant! Please check the surveillance inside your restaurant from 9:00pm-9:20pm! Fantastic front desk staff! Hiding in the kitchen in order not to take orders and not answer the phone!
I’ve been to other locations and I don’t really like this one. I haven’t been to a bb.q in about a year but i noticed this time around, the chicken pieces are much smaller. Some pieces are about the size of my thumb. I had ordered the medium (8 piece) order of the golden fried chicken along with the Rose Ddeokbokki. The Ddeokbokki, had way too much rice cake compared to the sauce, so the ratio was very off. It lacked Fish Cakes and It also had a very garlicky taste that was just a bit over powering. I used to frequent the Irvine location before and I always enjoyed my meal there. I also remember the chicken being bigger then as well. I know for sure out in Korea, the bb.q chicken’s there served bigger chicken pieces than this location for sure. Overall I wouldn’t order from this location again. I’ll order from the Irvine location and I think I can make a better judgement to see if things have changed since my hiatus or it’s just me not having a good experience at this location.
Food is always fresh and enjoyable! The worst part of this place is the staff. Today I picked up an order that has Been place at 11 am pick up tima was 11:15 am then I came to 11 20 and ask cashier if my order was ready. She proceed to ask kitchen staff hiw much longer and nobidy answer till she says is costumer asking. And sure, that's when those Girls answer, otherwhise there's no way they answer to her. They say 10 min. Ok. Wait another 10 min and came back I thougth the order was ready but none of the orders at the counter were ready. People start gathered. At that time ask a cashier again if my order was ready then ask again and then said 10 more min. At that point I heard those Girls say my order was ready 15 min ago and told the cashier she alrready has the order when the truht was it was another order with similar name. Then proceed to yelling at her. Then I ask by myself if my order was ready again and began to argue with me and told them there's 2 similar orders because in this long time I been hear another similar name. And keep and eye nobody take my order because similar but diferente items I know because cashier always ask for my item missing but in 40 min it never came. Finally ask to kitchen staff make doble check to my order! They do and found yes.. one missing item from my order. Well I just wait from 11 20 to 12 15 to get my order ready. They need to inprove comunication and fix any kind of missing items asap, kitchen staff just wait to fix that heading the finger to each others. That was by my side but others wait like me and other just cancel the orders due long pick up time.
Good food but the time says they close at ten but they close the kitchen early at 9. I thought it would be a one time thing but it regularly happens. It's rediculous the time should be adjusted on the store front or close the kitchen later. Still good chicken and rice tho just disappointed I can't get my chicken when they are "still open"
When I ordered the whole secret spicy chicken, sauce was not enough.Thus, this time I ordered it with a request of Extra Crispy and Generous Sauce, and they did it. I wish your business keep up the good work.And it would not hurt if the receptionist greets people saying HI.
I would rank this place as one of the best fried chicken restaurants around. Better than any of the American contemporaries. Looking forward to going back there again.
