Came here for lunch my order was made right and the service was nice and fast soda machine was out of rootbeer they refilled it fast and they were just so nice I will definitely come back to this location and also recommend them to anyone in the area.
Ordered a #20- teriyaki chicken plate & a soda. Cost $14.43. Food was good. Although my chicken was a bit luke warm. Rice was hot & delicious. The disappointment comes from waiting 20 minutes to get my food. There were plenty of employees here, but for some reason it took a long time to get a simple dish. Minor annoyance with the guy who called out my order, asking me for my ticket before giving me my lunch. I had left it at the table, so he then says I can retrieve it, or tell him my order.? it would not have annoyed me if I hadn't waited 20 minutes! I'd say call ahead & get it to go. Seems they're more focused on the online orders & door dash/grub hub orders.
The food is more than great. They do not answer the phone, or care about the customer. Unfortunately Modestos Ona does not deliver.
For context, born and raised in HI and figured this place was like L&L. Came here with my mom. She got the Kalua combo and I got the chicken katsu. My plate literally had like 6 pieces of chicken.....for like a 12 dollar plate.? Moms said her food was meh and that she can make better kalua pig. I tried the bbq chicken in her plate and it was basically shoyu chicken. If it was advertised as shoyu chicken, I wouldn't complain.Basically if you're from HI, lower your expectations.
Food is always delicious & orders have always been correct. The service team is very polite, quick & efficient.
I did takeout. Food was good except for the hard day or two old rice. Other than that I ate everything. The Island Fire chicken was what I ordered.
Ono Hawaiian BBQ was probably my first experience with Hawaiian from what I can remember. This place has such amazing tasting food. I love that you can order over the phone takeout. The staff is pretty helpful in picking out and explaining what is in the food you get if you have any questions. I recommend the chicken katsu plate and even the spam musubi.
I placed an online order 12/07/2021 through their online ordering. I ordered 2 spam masubi totaling to $12.14Whenever I tried to checkout the site couldn’t complete my order and was declining my card. I checked my statements and I was charged 4 times totaling $48.56 but I was never given a receipt or order confirmation, but yet the money was instantly taken out of my account. So I went down to the store to get it fixed same day just to find out they can’t find my name in their system and their management was not in to handle this. I am BEYOND disappointed and will never trust this location ever again. How did your company take money from me and have no trace of it. I left there with no food and no refund !!!
Their food is always amazing, but they decreased their portion sizes for the same cost.
This is the best place to eat in turlock, the meat is delicious and the Mac is super yummy dawg
