AJs is great at what it does- classic diner food. I've attached menu pictures for convenience but they also have daily specials. We always have a good experience when we go.
This place has the best Monterey chicken sandwich I have ever tried!! Most of the time I need to ad ketchup to make the sandwich juicier and in this case it was not needed. The chicken is delicious and the veggies really fresh.The waiters are super friendly. I would say the only little thing is that the coleslaw could have more pizzazz but in general it was pretty good.
Food was decent. I ordered chicken strips, ranch and fries were good. Service was great! Smaller menu, but I was able to find something.
Went for the first time today and was impressed with the food. I got the Portuguese platter and my boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy deluxe. Service was really good as well. Would definitely go back.
The food was wonderful and the service was great! I was just visiting the area, but if I lived there I'd definitely visit this place regularly.

This was a favorite breakfast restaurant in the past. Today was disappointing. The host greeted us upon entering and told us which aisle we were to be seated. He proceeded to gather menus and silverware and told us to sit anywhere. Common courtesy is show us our table and then if we want to choose another table we can inform him. A few minutes later he brought our menus. Ana our waitress was very attentive throughout our meal. The coffee was better than most restaurant coffee. The omelets were fair as well as the pancakes. Throughout our visit we noticed not one masked server, host, cook or patron. The cook has a long beard and he was not wearing a hair net or a beard net. We will travel to Modesto for breakfast, as we have given up on the few restaurants in Turlock.
I drove by while passing through turlock and finally stopped in today. What a great experience; the food was fresh and hot. The wait staff was fantastic as well. I would definitely recommend and will visit again.
Mark is a great chef, the fries are amazing. We had the monster burger they are fresh and handmade. Thanks for the great lunch.
