I have never not had a great experience at this restaurant! The food is good the Wimpy seasoned fries are to die for an the service is beyond excellent! You see I'm on a mobility scooter that wouldn't fit through the door because it's a small restaurant not because they are not accommodating to disabled people they took down my order at the door and brought it out to me when it was done just so I could have my wimpy fries I crave! I wish they could afford a bigger space for the restaurant but unfortunately it's expensive for those kind of spaces! If they took over the spot across from taco Bell on Tulare ave that would be perfect for everyone because it would be centrally located and bring business to downtown ❣️

Fast and friendly service, tasty place for burgers and fries.
Pluses, new owners have cleaned up the place and maybe expanded the menu? Not sure about that. And it is one of the only places that I know that will add malt to your shakes. YUM! Plus and minus, today was the first time that I got perfectly cooked fluffy on the inside fries. Minus, what happened to the seasoning salt you all are famous for? When I go to here, I want salt +flavor overload, and today I could hardly find any. Minus, HUGE minus. Ordered chicken strips. Simple enough, right? I expected strips of chicken breast. What I got were oversized chicken nuggets made out of processed chicken parts mashed together and formed to look like strips of breast meat, paid almost 4 dollars for 2 pieces of chicken " product" that I promptly spit out. Gross.
This is probably the best greasy spoon style burger shop. Burgers are good, Shakes are great and they have the best seasoned fries! My kids would go here just to get the big bag of fries! I always stop by for lunch anytime I’m in the area!
Great times here at Wimpys burgers located in beautiful Tulare California. There may not be much in this town besides the outlets, country, and this wonders place. But that's more than enough reason for me to visit this little town. If you want to eat good food with great service in a tiny hole in the wall establishment. Then set your GPS to this location and get ready for a wonderful day. Pay no attention to the homeless people that surround the area they will do you no harm and even if they do attack you. I promise the food is worth getting stabbed over.
To me the hamburger was more bun than meat. It took me 4- 5 bites before I bit into meat & in my opinion it needed more seasoning. I did love that they used purple onion. The fries were seasoned good, but people over rated them on the reviews I read. I did like the decor, it took me back to my child hood.
Customer service was quick & frieny. Food tasty but a bit costly & the menu did not detail each burger choice. Dining area could have been cleaner & bathrooms were closed due to prior customers making a messing them up.
Food is good and reasonably priced.always stop by when I feel like having a burger.old school vibes.employees are courteous
