Anyone traveling through Tulare, Ca. must stop here. It’s just off hwy 99 on ave. 200. Outstanding service, friendly staff, clean restaurant. With plenty of parking. I went for the birria de chivo en caldo today, man it was delicious. Also very important is the hand made tortillas, this is the only place where you will actually find a good tortillera for the job, they are soft and so good. These guy’s do it all, the salsas are really good! Hands down one of the best places for Birria in the Central Valley. I can almost guarantee everything on menu is just as good. Highly recommend, I will definitely be back!
The worst Menudo, I've ever had! Bland, and too much fat! The place was an absolute mess. The servers were kind but man was the food awful. My father ordered Birria (which is the specialty) and he never complains about food, but this was an exception. He commented that it was dry and lacked salt and flavor. How this place has good ratings is beyond me.
Ordered a large Birria to go, got home and realized it was mostly broth and very very small amounts of meat in the bottom,not worth the $21 smh….
Beautiful people, beautiful restaurant and most excellent food!Everything thing I've eaten here has been very good and filling.They have homemade tortillas and salsas that are soooo addictive!The meat and vegetables are fresh, and have great color, taste and texture.The portion size is generous, even for a man-sized belly, and they check on you at about the right pace to see how you are doing, and if you need a refill of your beverage. I usually get the Mexico made Coca-Cola, so I just order a second if I'm really thirsty.The staff is pleasant and professional. Even during covid they obeyed the rules and opened only when authorized. This made it rough on us that eat here often, but I'm sure it was best for all citizens.They clean often and follow the state protocol, which is a great example! ???I have always received wonderful service and expect to continue dining here when I come through town.EDIT:The menu has a large selection offering plenty of meal options.I did not mention on my previous review that this restaurant (usually) has a HUGE treat/candy section at the check-out area.My favorite treat is the crumble peanut-butter cookie..yum! yum! ???
One of the better places to get menudo. I prefer birria but the menudo was good.Nice and clean not a lot of fat in the consume.
The food is good but the service is bad. My family and I were waiting for 20 minutes to order. We might’ve waited longer but my mom got one of the lady’s attention. They were taking other peoples orders but not ours.
Wow!!!!! Menudo included "all" elements that it should. Brave and Wonderful!!! A delicious delight...and a 1st. Finally "the real deal". Birrieria was actually tasty earthy "birrieria/goat" and not beef. Outstanding!!!Thank you Apatzingan!!!!
Came here on a Saturday morning. Easy to find off the 99 on K St. Restaurant wasn't too packed when I got there around 9:30, but got more busy when I left around 11:00.You seat yourself and are promptly served by a waitress that brings you chips and salsa. Really dig the green salsa! I ordered a birria de chivo with an horchata. The bowl came out really quick. The portion size is very generous and very warm. Perfect for a crisp morning. Plus they serve handmade tortillas. The birria broth was really good and the meat portions were a good size too. Not too gamey, if you're concerned about that flavor. The horchata was good too.Overall, I highly recommend coming here for your breakfast needs. Definitely wanna try the rest of the menu. Looks very promising.
Because this is from a town in my parent{s state of Michoacan, I had high hopes, and eventhough not horrible, it left a lot to be desired,. We ordered birria and when it came out., it had a ketchup like sauce on it. Right away, I was concened, it was birria de res but it had a weird smell. needless to say I will not be back.
I think this is my 3rd time eating here. Customer service is great. Menudo is so good. Large portion. The bierra is really delicious. The tortillas are freshly made. I would recommend this place to anyone driving by or just looking for some great Mexican food.
