I’m from Memphis and a newbie to the area .I was verrryyy skeptical at first. Decided to give this place a try and I was not disappointed AT ALL …one thing about a bbq place if they know how to make potato salad right they know what they are doing . The food was so good and on point .I had the beef brisket plate with potato salad and yams and it’s a YES for me . Great customer service as well . I will definitely be eating here again .
Got a 3 way meat with brisket hot link and pull pork. With beans and coleslaw. Coleslaw and beans were really good. As for the meats hot link was good. The pull pork wasn't bad was ok. Brisket was lil dry and shredded. That I didn't like. I like it in slices. Overall everything was good. Next time I would probably ask for bbq sauce on the side.
What a spot to eat! I came in for the first time with my mom and daughter last night and it will definitely not be the last. You can feel the family like vibes the minute you walk through the door, you can tell they love their customers and vice versa. When I made it home with my meal, all I can say is yum! The tri tip, brisket and ribs were delightful and the green beans were so tasty!
Well, almost 50.bucks down the drain. Rack of ribs 60-70% fat. Dry and hardly any flavor.Mac & cheese no flavor. And this place is fixin to raise their prices? I think they need to raise their quality first. And, wouldn't it be a good idea to (after they bring the quality up) have the prices lower so they could sell more?
The food was delicious It was worth the trip coming from Modesto
OH MY GOD! I was driving through town and stumbled on this place. I will tell everyone about it and take my family there every time I am there. This is by far one of the top BBQ EVER! I was there at 3 in the afternoon and the place only had a couple people in there and the owners Mom was so sweet to me! I got chicken, rib tip cup, green beans and beans. I didn't eat it all because I wanted to bring home to my kids.....they destroyed it! And professed that it was the best.
Soul food is a delicacy cook but his place is absolutely delicios!!
meat was on point but the sides lack flavor. the Mac and cheese was gritty and had ZERO flavor. I give 6/10
I must agree with the other reviews, of you want to be welcomed to this place you must be black period. They were nice to the black folks but to me and a Mexican guy they were jerks, and I ain't white btw... No small talk at all, my cup was filled with ice and half full, after two sips it was officially over, the sandwich was 6 out of 10, fries were soggy. I'm never going back just because the way I was welcomedThe only pro is that the sandwich had a healthy amount of meat, I'll give them that
Not a fan! My bread for my sandwich was soggy, old, and fell completely apart. Mac and cheese and greens have NO flavor , nothing was hot. As expensive as it is you would think the food would be better.
