I’ve eaten here a handful of times now and I’m happy to say it’s a reliable, relaxing, and always pleasant place to dine in. Sure, it can get busy, but a crowd is to be expected from a great business like this one.The food is true to what you spend and the staff do their jobs just fine! They’re polite and attentive, and even the merchandise is adorable! They have mugs, socks, and even cute little paw slippers.Five stars. I simply can’t find anything I don’t like about this place!

2nd time visiting this particular Black Bear. We have one our hometown and the neighboring town that we have always enjoyed eating at! Ive also visited one in Salinas CA a couple of times and one at the Grapevine in CA.We just love black bear! It is consistently delicious. The portions are consistently generous. We are in our mid 40s but eat at home as much as possible.It's almost like visiting a local mom and pop shop. We always feel good about spending our hard earned money there!Ty Black Bear!
Terrible. I ordered a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream and it was made from pancake mix. If you don't have the right mix don't call it a waffle. The demanded I paid for it so I left it. This is the picture of the underside of my waffle. The general manager nester said..sorry mam. Gross
Went there for Mother's Day and I must admit this place was awesome my review as follows1. Customer service = 5 starsWhen we arrived they gave us 30 min to be seated BUT, they seated us almost immediately and they looked really busy!Server was great took our order and food served in a timely manner! I must admit I was really impressed !Food = 5 stars as the food was prepared as ordered and was really yummyCleanliness = 5 Stars everything was really clean and sanitizedOverall I will be returning, the service and food was impressive especially for a special day like Mother's Day and my kids and wife all enjoyed their food and reported they would like to return again soon ! A BIG SOLID 5 STARS !
I had heard mixed reviews about Black bear and went into this one with that in mind. The interior was clean the tabels ,chairs and booths were clean as well. The staff was prompt and the food was served in a timely manner. I had the albacore tuna melt and my wife has the BLT club . Both were very good and fresh. Overall very good experience.
It was OK food. Portions were pretty good size. I ordered chicken fried steak, which honestly had no flavor. The country gravy was pretty good. Bacon was thick and flavorful. I Aldo had a side of loaded grits which were perfect. All in all it wasn't by any means a cheap eat. $42 or so. Did hear someone complaining about the price of a waffle which was apparently $11
The gum chewing hostess was so rude. They really need to have some type of customer service training. Once we were seated it was a good experience. If we had more choices for breakfast in Tracy, this would have definitely been a deal breaker. This could have been a 5 star rating.
This stop for breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. There was plenty of food and the service was great but the amount of extra grease on the food was too much for me. The meat lovers omelet was good but the hash browns were not fully cooked and dripped from the extra grease. Left those and finished the toast and omelet. Not sure I would stop there again.
Always love this location. Been eating here for over 15 years. Always treats us like family. Hard working staff.
