from outside doesn't look like much. but it has been around for awhile.love the inside, the booths & atmosphere. people are friendly it is full of regulars. food was outstanding we had steak, was cooked to perfection!
I love the vibe in this place. Looks like an old school restaurant with red leather seats and popcorn ceilings. The people here are very nice and talk to you. Chris I believe that’s his name was our server. He did a fantastic job.I had the bone in rib-eye which was fantastic. I also had the salad with homemade thousand island dressing which was great. The fried clam strips were amazing too.
Finally made it to the San Franciscan after not being there for over 30 years! Love the atmosphere and it felt so familiar! So comfy and relaxing! My friend and I came to Torrance to visit our home town and I knew I had to visit the San Franciscan! I had prime rib and it was delicious! They brought out both spicy and non spicy horseradish! And a delicious baked potato! Such a wonderful experience to be back in Torrance and at the San Franciscan! Thank you
The Best Surf and Turf around locally, hands down, never disappoints! Perfection everytime from the service to the food!
Service was excellent. Staff was nonstop. As an HR professional I was watching them and wondering when breaktime was. Food was ok. I ordered the sirloin steak medium rare with veggies. Basically steamed zucchini and an overcooked steak. Hubby ordered a delicious prime rib. My clam chowder with sour dough bread was the highlight of my meal.. I should have stuck with the fish.
Great vibe. The food was good, not great but I enjoyed the service, and the entire experience was entertaining. This is an older person bar, which translated to everyone was polite and laid back. I'll be back.
Pepper steak, medium rare, was tender and delicious. The corned beef and cabbage soup was light and satisfying. They were out of fried zucchini but offered fried green beans instead - definitely recommend. Those count as a vegetable, right? ? The inside was packed with patrons, several young families. Very old school, homey feel with red vinyl booths & extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Ended up sitting outside and had the whole tent to ourselves. The hanging lights created a fun evening vibe. Too stuffed to even consider dessert, but want to return just to check them all out.
Locals love this place, the food is one of the best and the service is superb
Like stepping back in time to a great old steak house and pub. We ordered the prime rib and the New York. Both were incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. Service was perfect, especially considering how busy it was. And the prices were surprisingly low. This was our first time, but we will definitely be back.
yummy food. and good drinks.
