That one worker, Kaito is very cute. 10/10 would come again.

Really small place, one Chef at the sushi bar. One person waiting staff and a person in the kitchen to assist with the cooked dishes. I've been turned down at least a few times as they were busy so I would strongly suggest to call ahead and inquire for reservation. I now know and would always call ahead unless I show up near the opening time 5:30pm.With that out of the way here is plenty of great reason for me to come back over and over even after being denied service few times as a walk-in.Their tuna selection seems very meticulous. A clear distinction of Tuna, Bluefin, Fatty and Extra Fatty Tuna. Not many places I've been to would be brave enough to have all 4 on the menu consistently. The baby sardine and few seasonal items on the sushi menu are delicious and highly recommend. The Chef doesn't appear to be interested in socializing or offering suggestions for the food but his work is art. My respect for that. Neat, clean and well organized with great attention to detail. It reminded me of "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" documentary where we westerners treat dining as socializing/hangout event and in Japan you hit'n run the food scenery ??Won't even comment on the rest of the cooked dishes as they were up to the norm for all above average sushi places. Glad I found Ken's Sushi so close to home. Keep up the good work.

We enjoyed the Omakase at Sushi Ken after spending the weekend in Redondo Beach. It's located at the corner of a strip mall and was one of the few establishments that were open at the time. I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant because of the atmosphere and it reminded me a lot of restaurants in Japan. The fish was fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly and seasoned well with vinegar and sugar. The most enjoyable sushi was actually ones we ordered off of the omokase, it was the otoro sushi and it was very delicate and priced at $10 for two pieces which is a steal. In the omokase you get to enjoy salad and dozens of nigiri sushi as well as ice cream to finish the meal off. I believe the omokase was around $50 per person which is cheaper than many places you'll find in La proper.Overall I would definitely come back and order more of the otoro but I'm glad I tried the omakase and definitely recommended for someone that is new to eating nigiri ? sushi.

One of my favorite sushi spots in the South Bay. Traditional Japanese sushi bar and everything is delicious. Omakase is a great deal and it is all premium fish.

Absolutely a hidden gem. A mom and pop establishment, Sushi Chef Ken is a true master. Peep on the walls the competitions he's won. Don't be afraid to make special requests, the fish is always fresh and usually imported. Recommended!

Best sushi and sashimi I've ever had outside of Japan. Great lunch special too, so you can still enjoy when on a budget. They've been so careful and considerate throughout the pandemic, that it was literally the only restaurant we felt comfortable getting takeout from. We've appreciated the owners efforts so much.

The sushi was fresh an service was great even if it was to go.
